  1. I thought it was good practice to install WatchOut to a drive other than the C drive. Why does that option not appear in the new 6.2.1 installer? Is this not a concern anymore?
  2. Did you ever get a resolution to this? I appear to be encountering the same issue.
  3. I have 2 brand new WatchPax 4 units and seem to have run into the same issue on both, so hopefully this is something easy I'm just missing. The units are connected to a closed network, with a Win 10 production PC, an unmanaged Dlink gig switch, and a WatchPax 4 unit connected to a single 4k@60 display via a DP cable. I have edited the autostart.txt to give me a static IP on a particular subnet (192.168.1.101, 255.255.255.0), and placed my production PC on the same scope with an IP of 192.168.1.201. I can connect to the WatrchPax with remote access with no issues. The Display is connected at a solid 4k@60 with no issues. The WatchPax lists version 6.2. The Production PC is also running version 6.2 I had a fairly basic show with about 300GB of data I was trying to transfer and after going online and the initial transfer seeming to start, I received errors on the production PC and the WatchPAx disappears from the production network window only to show up a few moments later. The Watchpax display server screen either sits on the transfer with a document listed or just goes black. I thought maybe I had done something wacky with my production file so I create a new file, connected to the WatchPax, then dropped a simple watchout generated solid on the main timeline. Going online does the same thing here, and with just a simple solid. I then dropped a video file I am working with on the layer above and re-tried it just to confirm and received the following errors again: From Display "4k60 1" of Stage Tier "Base" of StageList of Stage, 2018-01-19 9:57:30AM Network Error:Display computer:No Response From Display "4k60 1" of Stage Tier "Base" of StageList of Stage, 2018-01-19 9:57:30AM Network Error:-2146949300;[Facility 32776] From Display "4k60 1" of Stage Tier "Base" of StageList of Stage, 2018-01-19 9:57:30AM Network Error:-2146949300;Command: writeShow;[Facility 32776] From Display "4k60 1" of Stage Tier "Base" of StageList of Stage, 2018-01-19 9:57:30AM QuickTime error:-2095;;Video"/M:/NAMM_2018/_MEDIA/3_TEC_AWARDS/TEC Awards 33 Additional MOVs in progress 3840_640 APR/Jackson Brown Final3.mov" of Media List The media file listed is a HAPQ file that works just fine in the production environment and has not shown any issues anywhere else. The issues happens when pushing anything, solids, audio files, etc ... I have replaced all network cables and the switch, all with the same results. I am due to roll into show Sunday with these 2 units, so this is of growing concern. I do have 2 backup custom WatchOut servers for backup, but what in the world is going on here? Any thoughts or suggestions?
  4. Has anyone used a WatchPax4 system to drive multiple 4K@60 outputs into LED processors? Being that a WatchPax cannot be genlocked, did you have any issues? I am looking at a scenario where we would be outputting 4 x 4k@60 from a Watchpax into either a Dual E2 setup and then to 4k LED processors, or directly from Watchpax into 4k LED processors. Pixel space is setup as 15360x2160. Screen tearing is what I am most concerned with since I will be dealing with a 0 pixel gap between outputs to the LED processors. Any thoughts or words of wisdom? Thank you in advance! Erich
  5. The WO Display computer acts normal and I see the progress bar copying assets but it gets about halfway through then stops, the screen flickrs then goes to the logo then black then back to the logo with IP and monitor information below it. So it acts like it has a connection but looses it halfway through the asset copy phase. Now this machine is not a WO only box and I have a feeling something is causing a communication error but only halfway through the asset copy process. I went though the Win 7 tip sheet and set everything the same, but I wonder if another application is causing the issue. I'm going to rebuild this box from scratch with only WO on it and see what happens. It's hard to believe that WO would be that touchy and demand an PC with it as the only main application. I have a Show Sage backup system as another backup now and that Display system is on version 6 and now operating correctly. What's weird is I was having the same problem with this unit earlier, uninstalled 6, put on 5, tested it and it worked. So we unistalled 5 and put 6 back on and now everything is working. Very confusing ...
  6. Ok, we have it working now, at lest this issue. We went DVI straight out of the GFX card, into an Image Pro and forced it to pull 1920x1080 @ 60. The outputs of the Image Pro's are now feeding Encore via the SDI out. Next issue ... Now we are getting theNetwork error; Display Computer: Connection Lost. I am hard IP'd and I can see the WO Display PC all day through Windows. Mind you this is a WO version 6 Production and Display. I have a backup WO Production and WO Display system running version 5.5.1 and I am not having this issue. Same exact IP setup, all hard IP'd. So is this bug in version 6? Why will it work in version 5 and not 6?
  7. That's exactly what I thought as well. My displays in WO are 1920x1080, the display frame rate in WO preferences is 60. The WO Display PC is using a NVIDIA Titan Black with four outputs set in Windows at 1920x1080 at 30Hz. (This is the most I can do, no option for 60 here) Those 4 outputs are going through HDMI to SDI converters that are sending out 1920x1080 @ 59.94. Could the 30Hz be the errant variable?
  8. I am on-site with Watchout 6 running a basic show and having serious issues with stability and I cannot get media to show up on the WO Display PC. I am getting a variety of errors ... Display Setting Not Available, No Show Active, and Connection Lost. I am hard IP'd on the WO Production PC as well as the WO Display PC, and I have verified through Windows that every PC is seeing each other. I have Watchout feeding an Encore system and I know for certain my display computer is outputting 1920 x 1080 (exactly as my Displays are set in WO) since I can see them in Encore. I see the WO logo on all my WO Display PC outputs, so I know that's running. I was seeing this late yesterday after my initial setup, but after several tries of going on and off-line and then rebuilding the Show Cache several times things worked. We left the system running all night to see what happened and this morning it was still running. I then took it off-line, added more timelines and content, took the system on-line again and now I am back with the same problem again. It refuses to push content to the WO Display PC. Any thoughts?
