  1. there ya go, that was the answer I was looking for. I suspected this, but wasn't certain. Thanks!
  2. Thanks! Not sure how you made the 32" screens smaller in the stage area, but thanks again!
  3. Hello all, I am trying to set up a video wall (see image) that has a total of 8 monitors, all 1920x1080. 3 of them are 47" and 5 are 32". How do I create my "stage" in watchout that shows the correct layout and reflects the relative sizes of the monitors so I can correctly program it? At times I want to have a single image go across all monitors and sometimes seperate images in all monitors, etc. How do I do this? Possible? Thanks, Steve
  4. Hello all, I'm looking for Dataton approved Mpeg-2 encoding specs. There seems to be some conflicting information around the forum. Is there a place that has the most WO friendly specs somewhere? Thanks in advance!
  5. Hello all, I need to have one video spread across 4 HD monitors. That would be an image of 5120x720 (monitors are 720p). Is it okay to create one file at those pixel dimensions or is there a more preferred method? If so, what file format do you reccomend? If not, how do I proceed? I'm using WO 5.1. thanks.
  6. Perfect. Thanks! I knew there was a way, not sure why I didn't think of that.
  7. I'm sure this is fairly basic, but I cannot discover a way to place the Stage window on a different monitor connected to the production computer. In other words, for this show, the timeline has so many layers I need to place the stage window on a separate monitor. How do I do that? When I extend the desktop, it wqon;t let me just drag the stage window to the second monitor. What am I missing? Any help would be appreciated. I've just never had to do this in the past.
  8. Make sure I understand how these things work. You plug your keyboard and mouse into the two user USB ports and then is there a USB port out each for the keyboard and mouse. . . . OR is there just one out that combines both functions into one USB out? Make sense?
  9. If this has been covered in another post, my apologies. Can you install both 4.5 and 5.0 WO software on same system? Steve
  10. I'd like to purchase a USB KVM switch in order to control my display computers on occasion. Obviously, I only need the keyboard and mouse and not video, but I'm having a hard time finding the proper switch. Has anyone had success finding and using a KVM in a WO environment? Thanks in advance.
  11. Any news on the 4.5 software release date? Last I heard it was going to be last weekend. Any new date in the near future? Thanks, appreciate the efforts.
  12. I will contact you using that email. There have been some further developments. Thanks.
  13. An additional note: I tried opening a 4.0 show again in 5.0, but this time, I received the following error for the first time: "could not allocate thread local data" Any ideas?
  14. Okay, I have moved all the audio files, but when I open a 4.0 show in 5.0 it continues to crash WO. It goes a little longer into the caching progress bar, but still crashes. The computer is up to date, uses W7 with an i7 chip. It's a 32-bit operating system. Any ideas anyone? I MUST be able to open this show somehow. Surely you didn't create a program that requires a 4.5 software and another key to open our previous shows. This must be pilot error of some sort. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks all.
  15. Jim - I'll try this. However, its not crashing after the caching of all files, but DURING the caching of the previous versions shows. It's when the progress dialog box is up of the caching process. So does your note still apply? Windows 7.0 (up to date SP1+) 8.0 GB RAM Appreciate any help. It is possible that audio files in your v4 show are the cause of the load error in v5.Seems v5's new audio waveform display in the cue can cause this, for whatever reason WO fails rendering the waveform image and the lock-on-load results. Try removing the audio cues in v4 or move the audio files from their correct location so WO 5 fails to find them. This should get the v4 show open in v5. Once it is opened in v5, bring the audio cue(s) back and it will still fault, but not fatally, WO will then bring the audio into the show without the waveform display. If need be, use an audio proxy to get around the waveform render error.
  16. I had a successful upgrade to 5.0 on all my computers. But, when I try to open previous shows (4.0+), it gets about half way to caching the show and then says the program must shut down. Any ideas? Windows 7.0 (up to date SP1+) 8.0 GB RAM Appreciate any help.
