  3. Hi i'm Mattia i'm trying to control the ignition of the projectors lamps ( sanyo 15k) from the display pc ( a Dataton watchout mediaserver). I'm using a usb to serial adaptators from the display to the projectors. i have some question: 1 when i put the adaptators on the media server the installation of the driver fail while when i put it on the producer ( an asus notebook) the driver is installed automatically without the need to install it from a cd. Can be the custom setup that there is on the server that block the installation? 2 in the device menager of the media server i can see a voice Communication Port (COM 1) tough there isn't a phisical port on the server, is that a virtual com used for the transfer of the serial data over a tcp ip connection? That port is named as number one, i have read that watchout use the com port 1 to send serial, but if there isn't the port i can change the number of the port when i will istall the drivers of the adaptators?. 3 i need to do an installation that works for three months every day without assistance. My idea is to use a timer for power up the installation at a certain time The server load the show that have the command for turn on and turn off the projectors lamps. My only problem is the power off of the server. Anyone have try the "power off" software ( it's a free utility that allows you to schedule shutdown of a pc) on a Dataton Watchout mediaserver? can be problem of compatibility? Or there is the possibility to shut down the server with the watchout sistem menager using another pc? thanks in advance
  4. thanks a lot. For the moment i have put on the display my old nvidia card, working fine with two video output. I had converted the video from animation to h264 becouse the card are gts 270... so for this works the problem is solved. when i return i will buy the active adaptators. so on the two display port i can have 4 dvi outputs in total ( 2 for each minidisplay)? if it's correct i need an adaptators from 1 minidp to 2 dvi? thanks in advance
  5. HI thanks to all for the help. first: yes i'm using 2 vga projectors monitors. Second: what you mean with "Connecting the HDMI port internally disconnects the dual-link DVI port"? this is my setup I have 3 main projectors not in softedge and 1 backups All the projectors are the classic 15.000 fron eiky, the signal transport is on rgbhv, with a ohm suppressor. i use 2 display and 1 producer for the setup. 1 display for the two side projector (two different video al the resolution of 1024X768) 1 display for the central and the backup (two different video al the resolution of 1024X768). thanks in advance mattia

  7. Hello. I have just installed video cards AMD Radeon HD6970 on 3 pc running WatchOUT 5:1. I have big problem with the identification of the second monitor The card has 2 DVI, 2 minidisplay and one hdmi I'm using the two DVI, I read on the forum that to use more than two screens is necessary to use the Mini DisplayPort ports with active adapters. This is also true for only 2 screens? Thank you for your help.
