  1. Hi everyone! One of my client has a Watchout setup in version 5.5.2. It is composed of one Producer, 3 Display computers, and one Watchnet Server in version 1.4. I am not very familliar with the version 5.5.2 of Watchout, and I'm a total beginner with Watchnet. On the version 6 of Watchout, you can export a Watchout Bundle file (*.wob) that you can then drag and drop in Watchnet. I know that *.wob files are a consolidate of a project that is archived as a *.zip file, then the the extention is renamed as *.wob. As the export as Watchout bundle is not existing in Watchout version 5, I thought that exporting a consolidate of the project and then rename the *.zip by *.wob, would do the trick. But everytime I drag and drop the *.wob in Watchnet, it states that an import error ocurred. I thought I should reinstall Watchnet in a prior version, but was unable to find an old one. How was it working to setup a Watchout 5.5.2 version project in Watchnet? I was unable to find some informations on the subject in the Watchnet guide. Do you guys have any idea of what I am doing wrong? Is there someone who has knowledge on Watchout 5.5.2 and Watchnet 1.4? Cheers
  2. Hello all, Apologies for two-threads-in-one-night, I figured it would be better to start fresh since the other issue I posted about seems to be resolved. The new issue is: about 15-25 seconds into playback, the display output will freeze. I first noticed this with a 1080p file, but it seems to happen independent of video file size (also happens with a 7MB 720P loop). Pausing playback on the production computer jumps the display forward to the appropriate place in the timeline - playing again from there gives another 15-25 seconds of playback before freezing again. Watchout version is 5.5.2. Hardware includes: Intel Core i7-6700K 4Ghz Quad-Core Processor MSI Z270-A Pro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard G.Skill Trident Z 16GB DDR4-3200 Memory Samsung 860 Evo 500GB Solid State Drive (Boot Drive) Samsung 960 EVO 500GB M.2-2280 SSD (Watchout/Data Drive) Radeon Pro WX 7100 Video Card Windows 7 Professional OEM SP1 All drivers are updated using as per Windows update; I have been through the Windows 7 Tweaking List as well. Pagefile is currently set at 32GB, but setting it to 0 GB causes no change in symptoms. I have uninstalled any OEM programs I can find. The Display Computer has a static IP address, as does the production computer. Both are on the same subnet, both have their firewalls turned off. For testing, the network consists only of the two computers connected to the same un-managed switch. I can ping each computer from the other. The freezes seem to be correlated with a sudden spike in processor usage (up to %40 from a baseline of %10 or so) and hard-drive read (up to 40 MBps). To me, this sounds similar to this issue and this issue, but neither have a resolution posted on the forums. What am I missing, y'all? What should I try next?
  3. I have an intermittent problem with a video clip not appearing on the projector when it is played on the timeline. When the pause point is fired from an external midi trigger it does not appear for .5-1 seconds. When it does appear it is into the clip at the point at which it would be if it started playing when triggered … it just did not display out the projector. The clip does appear on the production computer in the stage window. Typically the cue runs just fine, but this problem does show up intermittently. The clip was 1920x1080 MP4 H.264 30fps. We re-rendered it as a MPEG2 1920x1080 30fps but still have the problem. System Setup: Watchout 5 One display computer One production computer Christie DHD 800 projector Pause point with video clip starting 0.1 second after the pause. Added a 1 second preroll after this problem started Current Clip Information: 1920x1080 MPEG-2 30fps Any Information would be appreciated. -Joe
  4. Hello Am I correct in saying that artnet can only be output from the production computer? Is there a way of forcing the display computer to output the artnet rather than production? I am wanting to take the production PC out of the system and run the watchout show via the display cluster protocol, which is working fine at the moment minus the artnet connectivity. Any input (or indeed artnet output is welcome!) Regards.
  5. Hey there. We have recently purchased the ATI Radeon HD6990 with 4x Mini Display Ports and 1x Dual Link DVI Output. We have also purchased the Black Magic Decklink SDI Capture Card for an upcoming gig. As we have just got it all working together we thought we'd put it to the test, only to discover, that the input from the capture card doesn't work over the blended areas, it simply appears blank. Please let us know if there is something we are doing incorrectly so that we can solve this issue. Our proof of this issue is that after going to File/Preferences/Edge Blend and taking the blend out all together, immediately the full capture spans across all the displays. This is something we are hoping to rectify else we will need to pull in the likes of an encore or similar and budget of course doesn't allow. So if you have any ideas, please let us know by responding in this post. Many thanks.
  6. Weird issue. I have a show with 20 ish layers. In my layer 5/6 I am having an issue where the media that is in it is not showing now in that layer or on stage except when I zoom way out then I can see it but can effect it. Layer is not locked or set differently than any of my other layers. Any suggestions?
  7. Dear all, I had been using Watchout 5.3 for Production & Display CPU, and when using Dynamic Image Server is fine...but when I upgrade to Watchout 5.5, for production & Display & dynamic Image cpu, Dynamic Image server function having problem. When Production Timeline come to the Dynamic image cue, in Dynamic Server CPU will trigger the image and the image appeared, but it will blink, blink, however production & display CPU cannot received the image. I am running Window XP on all my CPU, is that the reason, because Watchout 5.5 best operate in Window 7. Thank you. Regards, Gary
  8. Is there an official or unofficial list of tweaks for Windows 8 yet? I really relied on having the Windows 7 tweaks in my toolbox and I'd love an update for Windows 8. I know that others develop tweaks that they find useful as well to keep Watchout machines running at a top notch condition, I'd love to hear what other members are doing as well to tweak their machines. Thank you, Jason H. Thompson

  10. Hello good people, I have some old system here we would need to get working for a few months on a project, we cannot really update anything that imply a cost. That is where it gets tricky. All systems are running WinXP and I was wondering if WO 5 could be stable under WinXP. I seem to recal some functionnalities are not working with WinXP (multiple output being one) but I have no idea about stability and a complete list of lost features. I searched the forums but haven't stumbled upon anything satisfactory. Could anyone give me a clear statement regarding WO 5 and WinXP, works? What features aren't availlable? Stable? Thanks a lot for answering for those who will!
  11. I recently updated my systems to watchout 5.1 and I am not able to play all 6 channels of audio. Previous to updating to watchout 5.1, I used a test file from Showsage on my system with Watchout 3.4.2 and I was able to get all 6 channel to play from the onboard audio card. I also tested the audio file with a an external USB sound card (Soundblaster X-FI) and that also worked with watchout 3.4.2. I installed Watchout 5.1 and now I only get 2 channel stereo. I did not change any hardware or drivers on the display systems. Wondering what needs fixing. Any suggestions?
