  1. Hi, starting on a new server here. Im trying to use a Korg nanokey2 with WO as a midi controller to trigger my Aux scenes. Have gone through the preferences and everything looks to be ok. I tried using the Korg Nanokey 2 with the bundled software from Korg and it works fine. Is there any special setting that i have to change on WO? BTW, i have used a korg kontrol2 before and it worked fine plug and play on Windows. Only after trying the nanokey2 is when i started having this problem. Has anyone tried the NanoKey2? Thanks.
  2. Hey friends - I have a little efficiency thing that has always bugged me. When I scroll up and down on the layer name - it isn't linked to the corresponding layer's time. So both vertical columns in the timeline scroll up and down independently. Is there any way to link those so if I'm on the left side (layer name) and scrolling through the layers, the right column (layer time) will scroll with it. I'm guessing it's an easy thing I'm looking too hard to see, but thought I'd hit the forum for the quick answer. Cheers! Tony
  3. Hi there, is there any possibility to get constantly timeline information. I know about the getStatus command but I need a constant time-feed. Thanks, Tim
  4. When my videos are inserted into the timeline, they have several seconds of just black dead space before starting. They do not appear this way when I watch them from within the media window. Can you offer suggestions?

Watchout Timeline -> EDL or XML?

Hi - I'm evaluating Watchout for a deployment of a multi-screen (many many screens) workflow wherein I'd like to be able to make some rough editing decisions in the Watchout timeline and then export those trim / start/end points as an EDL or XML or what have you for the purposes of using them in an NLE or compositing environment upstream of the Watchout playback system. Is there any way to do this in Watchout? Thanks very much, N

    TCP Control-TimeLine Status

Using a Crestron system, I am trying to talk to a Watchout System over IP. More specific I am trying to get the status of individual timelines, (Paused, Stopped, etc…).. I received this from a support tech with Dataton. I also have a document with what a response should look like. Example 1: Your WATCHOUT show is named "TestShow" and the auxiliary timeline inside the show is named "Movie1" and you want to know the status continuously. To achieve this you send the following strings (in bold to WATCHOUT display computer by TCP/IP or UDP/IP to port 3039. Note, every line should be ended with a carriage return character (0x0D): authenticate 1 load "TestShow" (you now need to wait some time for the cluster to build up 1-5 sec) getStatus 1 "TaskList:mItemList:mItems:TimelineTask \"Movie1\"" (Now you will get a periodic update of the status of the Movie1 timeline.) (To reset the status you simply send the same string but with the "turn-off" parameter) getStatus 0 "TaskList:mItemList:mItems:TimelineTask \"Movie1\"" Example 2: Your WATCHOUT show is named "TestShow" but you have already sent one load command so the show is already loaded. The auxiliary timeline inside the show is named "My Super Show" and you want to know a "one-shot" of the status. To achieve this you send the following strings to WATCHOUT display computer. Note, every line should be ended with a carriage return character (0x0D): getStatus 2 "TaskList:mItemList:mItems:TimelineTask \"My Super Show\"" I have tried this to no avail. Additional Notes This is what I am getting back Error 6 6 "Command: getStatus; Invalid/unexpected/damaged data: getStatus 1 \"TaskList:mItemList:mItems:TimelineTask \\x22Timeline1\\x22\""\x0D\x0A I copied it directly from the email. But replaced my timeline name. getStatus 1 "TaskList:mItemList:mItems:TimelineTask \"Timeline1\""\x0D A Ping command gives me this Ready "5.5.1" "WATCHPOINT" "Windows" true\x0D\x0A Any thoughts? I copied it directly from the email. But replaced my timeline name. getStatus 1 "TaskList:mItemList:mItems:TimelineTask \"Movie1\""\x0D A Ping command gives me this Ready "5.5.1" "WATCHPOINT" "Windows" true\x0D\x0A Any thoughts? What a response should look like. Example 3: Note the quoted auxliary timeline name, which must use escaped double-quotes since it’s embedded in the property path string. getStatus 1 "TaskList:mItemList:mItems:TimelineTask \"Timeline 1"\" : Status ”TaskList:mItemList:mItems:TimelineTask \"Timeline 1\"” 2 12114 94553321 : Status ”TaskList:mItemList:mItems:TimelineTask \"Timeline 1\"” 2 17210 94558417
  7. Is it possible to have a looping auxiliary timeline and from the main timeline ask it to fade out not just stop. When I did this the loop would just pop of and was a little disconcerting. I wasn't able to find a command to ask the AL to fade, just stop or pause. Anyone have an answer to this? Thanks David
