hoonwai Posted October 27, 2011 Report Share Posted October 27, 2011 I am trying to connect a relay circuit to WO4.2.2 via serial RS-232 connection - COM1. I created a String Output, Selected "Serial Port of a Display Computer", "Display Computer = Display 1", "Data Rate = 9600" and "Parity = None". Insert the output into the timeline. Keyed in "80" into the Data to Send window (as mentioned by the relay circuit manual to activate the relay. Nothing seems to happen? #1. Can I do the testing on the production PC? by connecting the relay to the COM1 of this PC? #2. Is the any sample what the RS-232 data strings looks like?
