Artnet record and play

Just to avoid potential misunderstandings:

You can record multiple DMX (Artnet) universes and play them back in WATCHOUT (in version 5 and 6).

You just add one "DMX recording" media for each universe. You bring them in as cues on different layers on the timeline. You align the cues to start at the correct time and record as many as you want... but, as Mikes says above, 110 universes might be a bit extensive.

FYI, at a reacent staging project they successfully recorded 4 full universes (2,048 channels) for moving light fixtures and played everything back in perfect sync together with projection and LED screens.

Hi.

Having some issues with "DMX 512 Recording" from Martin M2GO through Enttec ODE into Watchout 5.2

The rig is 15 LED Elar Pars.

We are recording the playback of effects I have no problem with recording them into Watchout.

HOWEVER when it comes to recording static Qs or static channels from the console into Watchout

I get nothing. Clearly this has something to do with how the board is spitting out the DMX.

Unfortunately my operator is not familiar with the console, and neither am I nor my regular go-to helpers.

Any advice welcome. Time is ticking.

Cheers,

Beth Kates

Curious, have you contacted Martin for their thoughts on static Qs or static channels?

Not familiar with that concept in DMX, don't Martin use a proprietary communication

between Martin Boards and Martin Instruments, i.e. could those functions be a Martin proprietary thing?

Bump — looking for Martin savvy help from others ;)
