There has been massive improvements increasing reliability and stability. The major highlights are: It is now possible to configure and connect to Production Computers and control them just like WATCHOUT clusters from panels and scripts. The text panel item has been enhanced and now includes a dynamic text option which enables WATCHOUT input values and current time of Main/Aux Timelines to be displayed on the text item. A selection of well-known protocols for controlling external devices are now shipped with the WATCHNET installation and can be found under "Devices". There is something that I missed from the beginning of the Watchnet and is the ability to enable or disable Schedule Events from a Script or a Panel. Would be useful when you had a programmed show in the Schedule and you wanted to stop it and play manually a show from a Panel, without the need to go to the Schedule page. MarkHoward Posted August 28, 2017 Report Share Posted August 28, 2017 A am experiencing unexpected behavior when using Watchnet 1.4. Sometimes when loading the Watchnet interface in the browser, the "Actions you can use" section on the scripts tab is empty. No actions are available. The only way I've been able to restore is to reboot the production computer on which Watchnet is installed. I want to load the shows from Watchnet but sync them with the time code as I can do through Watchout. WATCHNET operates WATCHOUT in cluster mode. When chasing SMPTE Timecode in cluster mode, timecode signal is fed to the cluster master WATCHOUT Display computer. You will need to send a command from WATCHNET to enable timecode chase, but the timecode is not connected to WATCHNET. For editing convenience, you may wish to split the timecode signal and send it to both Production and the cluster master Display computer. Mike Fahl Posted August 30, 2017 Report Share Posted August 30, 2017 I don't think there is a command in WATCNET to enable imecode chase. Your best solution is probably to put this into a startup script (assuming you're feeding it to the display PC, and not production PC). On my computer it is called "Macintosh HD" but it might be named differently on other computers. Then look for the folder "users" and in there for the folder for your share. I'm often using telnet strings to trigger some of our automation systems but when using watchnet is impossible to output any string as the cues containing the string is sent from the production computer and only when the header is hitting it... for that reason I could use only dmx channels output or timecode as the timeline of the production computer was not running while playing with watchnet... 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

That is incorrect. Yes, when the Production computer is online, it does send the strings. However, when operating in cluster mode, the strings are sent from the cluster master. Granted, you must properly establish cluster mode for that to work (by executing a load command). Quote ... and only when the header is hitting it. ... Not sure what you mean by that.
