  1. thanks guys, i will do both recomendations, I will let you guys know if that fixed the issue.
  2. I did both recommendations and no luck. the network card is taking about 2 to 3 mins to boot up. Dataton Watchout usually has the IP address on the splash screen once it booted. This Backup server stopped showing the IP address after the new netCard was installed. My solution is to have my operators power cycle the server first . Wait about 5mins than reboot the production computer. its works fine But not like the primary fast and ready to play. I reboot my watchout system every week. Been doing it for 5 years and the system is rock soild. I would like to know how to fix the slow network card reboot issue. its has become a mission.
  3. Little Help Here, I have two production computers and two display computers. One is a primary and the other is a backup with watchout 5.3.1. When I first set up our system the production computer and display computer were able to be rebooted and automatically recognized the IP address. The production computer was able to recognizing the Display computer without going to Specification and testing the display IP address. We had the network go bad on the backup Display computer which is an onboard network. I installed a new network work card and set the IP address. The production computer and display worked properly. Its not until I reboot the display computer and production computer. The production computer and the display computer dont recognized each other until I physically test the IP address. Its there a setting that I miss that My backup system is not recognizing each other unless I test the IP address? I want it to reboot and automatically recognizing each other and start playing content. any help?
  4. My back-up production computer is set up the same as the primary production computer . I have one output setup which is for the Blackmagic 72x72 universal hub router. Using string output with TCP. On the Primary production computer I have two outputs one for the Blackmagic router and the other output for the back-up production computer. Also set up in string comand using TCP. Will gotoControlCue "TOD"$0D play the TOD task? or do I need to open TOD task and use the frist cue name to trigger that time line.
  5. I need some help. I have two production computers along with two display computers. One is a primary and the other is a back up. I run my show on SMTPE. I have a main time line which is triggered by SMTPE . I also have a few task that are used. 1. TOD (top of day). 2. EOD (end of day). and 3 Abort clear. When the show is over and the house is clear I manually hit TOD on my task window so I can reset timeline and routers. I set for top of show. Same goes with end of the day I hit EOD to clear and send everything to black. Where I need help is controlling my Back-up computer with out manully hitting the task everytime. I would like to hit the task on the primary production computer and have the back up take those triggers with out me manually doing it. I have tried to use string command but fialed. I have string commands for my Black magic univeral Hub and it work very well. Could some one help me set this up. I did try sending commands to the Back-Up like the manual said. (gotoControlCue: TOD$0A) (gotoControlCue TOD$0A). anyone done this before control a production computer with another production computer? zejboyz
