Can you see it in media express on the display machine? First try changing the settings there. Also try 1080i/25 in both Media Express and Watchout. Z

I would suggest sticking a scaler in line. I prefer the Image Pro II. Z

On this topic - It seems like in the display geometric correction, we're missing the 'adjust opposite x/y simultaneously' check box. Am I the only one who misses this? Or am I an Idiot and am totally missing wherever it moved to? Thanks! Z

Something I commonly do is copy/paste my clips to a utility(preview) display, and have them freeroll one second earlier than the actual content. I add a second of pre-roll to my actual content and pause it half a second before the actual content starts. That way I can see(or more importantly the client wanting preview can see) the content that's about to play and I have my clip loaded. Z

Just my two cents - I stick to the pre-rendered video. Aftereffects(and premier) has a timecode function, I make one 5 minute one and use it for everything with different in times per cue. I've had repeated issues with using images in a comp for this. I'm not sure exactly why, either.... The images never seem to play back the way I intend. That being said, I never gave it much effort as I found the other method just as easy. But yeah, countdowns would be great ! Z

Without knowing your specific challenges, I'm guessing your video card is attempting to reconfigure as if it's losing displays? I'd think this points to an EDID problem, which is solved with one of the handy features you get with the firepro line. Do you have access to anything in your signal path that emulates EDIDs? +1 for morgans tip. Also try opening mediaExpress and getting it to work with the settings in media express under the capture tab, then exit back out to watchout. For whatever reason with that specific card, I've had to first make it work once in media express. Z

Could you add pre-roll into the animation, and then define the amount of pre-roll on the timeline in watchout, in hopes of having them line up? Z

Another case here of tested multiple times on both the W7000 and the W8100, and always had great success. I'm not sure that I'm doing anything that out of the ordinary with the EDID manager.

You can set the ATEM to 720p to solve your interlacing challenge. Framerate is a different story...

Preview > Click Selects Frontmost Image I can't help but feel like this is a workflow challenge? Could you be a little more specific with what your trying to accomplish? Are you locked to timcode? If not I think a lot of your headache may be eliminated by dumping some of the stuff on your timeline out to tasks.

Yes - If I can play back a clip at 2x or 0.5x 'normal speed'(the framerate at which it was encoded). OR Better yet, The clip starts at -2x(twice as fast in reverse), with an in time of 10 seconds in clip preferences, then 10 seconds into the 'clip'(along the timeline) I had a key frame that switched it to 1x normal speed, and played out. This would be somewhat of a 'rewind' effect. All sorts of interesting things could be done with the ability to change the speed at which the clip plays back in reference to the timeline. Z

Playspeed tween would be INCREDIBLE.
