  1. Remember though that WO7 supports multiple NIC setups
  2. Perhaps you should tell us more about the setup / machines / network connection you're using. Usually, the asset pending only shows if you just put the content on the timeline and Watchout is still in the process of providing the asset to the playback device. But if you'd run the assetmanager on the runner, after optimization, it should show immediately. If you click the clock item top right of your producer screen, is there any indication something is still downloading? And what does the info on the asset tell you? (select the asset and have a look at the property pane)
  3. No, there is no such setting. My personal experience on 7, used on a variety of producer systems, that is doesn't matter where you import it from. Local drive, usb drive, network drive. I'm able to just import, it gets ingested and I (could) delete the original file directly afterwards. (or remove the external drive). There must be something else that's prohibiting , you could send a feedback report to support ??
  4. What exactly doesn’t work? What does the splashscreen show if you follow the instruction above?
  5. Tip of the day = select your device under "Devices" and choose "reset services to default" in the property pane. It will render the display info and show you the appropriate display channel number. Once you (de)activate a display, the display info will again disappear on all displays.
  6. Yes, this setup is possible. The downside possibly is that depending on the hardware configuration and what you're asking from it, playback can suffer from the render process in the asset manager. (so uploading a latest version of the a video during show, which is possible now, could interfere with fluent playback). Other practical downside is that you'd always have to program with the display pc connected to your producer. Otherwise, you could program with the license connected to your laptop, but afterwards you'd have to transfer the assets to the display PC, (if by that point you'd want to move the asset manager to the display PC to save a license). As far as I can see those are the biggest issues.
  7. Not yet Hubert. Expected in a later release (it’s on the roadmap).
  8. Question = can you test if it also works if you load an edid onto the output? (so the card THINKS there is something connected?) Let me know
  9. Hi Andreas, conditions won't return in the same form but an alternative solution which will work even better, will be implemented.
  10. As Tomas said, it's (usually) a lack of preroll. I've noticed WO7 works in this way differently than WO6. With WO6 you didn't have such a warning. It just worked, until it didn't and the solution was to create more preroll or set a pause cue to preload the media. In WO7 it warns you, sometimes before you even notice. (so it shouldn't be a problem at all, it just tells you your playout isn't accurate).
  11. Q = where do you create your custom resolution? I've had numerous issues with MX2 hardware and EDID's... always needed a lot of tweaking deep inside the EDID to resolve these issues. Not really sure as to why, just learned it as a trick to resolve issues... But I know for a fact that EDID's can harbour a bunch of issues inside, which aren't apparent since resolution seems fine... But also recently on an AW Aquilon, drove the operators crazy, until they were provided with a different EDID, directly captured into the GPU and suddenly all played nice with eachother.
  12. Hmmm... "Display Setting not available" actually just sounds like there's a mismatch in FPS between show-setting and display-setting. (50 vs 60 )
  13. I’ve done quite a few projects this way using Madrix as pixelmapper. Really affordable and extremely easy to use.
  14. AAC audio is not recommended. Please use WAV. And it doesn’t matter if they are short movies, played once and non-looped… you should separate the tracks. As Rainer said, Jokyo is good, but you can also try ShutterEncoder. Free and multi-platform.
  15. @LukasU this is imho exactly what virtual displays are for. I don't understand your remark on not being able to use them in this case because in the end your media files will have "a" position in your stage area and using VD's you can take that output and re-position it on your actual LED output... Or perhaps a combination of VD's and compositions could be used?
  16. Hi Raul. I'm sorry, but your information is too limited to be able to properly assess what might be going on. Sure the production machine or any of the display machines isn't at it's max? For production machine, try to run with thumbnails to make it easier on it. No idea if suggestions make sense, given on the amount of information you've shared.
  17. With regards to geometry: Yes, it is definitely possible, although fairly limited and cumbersome. Individual geometry will be limited to a simple 4-point correction by using a corner tween. Workflow can be a small mindf*ck, but again, if tight on budget, you will be able to manage. With regards to blending = this will be trickier, but if the budget is so low you can't even afford a projector that has this build in... Yeah, I'd take on another gig.
  18. Ted, did you ensure the path on the production was relative? (Or absolute, anyway the same as specd in displaymachine )
  19. Hey guys, which tool(s) are you using to create a working EDID file wider than 4096? Looking for a 4608x1152@60 edid file but my regular tool (Lightware LDC) isn't working on AMD Firepro W8100. thnx in advance!
  20. Done this. No issues actually, none at all.
  21. Watchpax won’t give you edid management on the outputs and is lacking a framelock possibility on the outputs. Not my first choice for a large videowall. If you have the choice, why not go ahead and start doing some practical tests? You can spend all the time of the world on this forum asking for experience, but you will never get the perfect answer for your particular situation and everyone here capable of directing you would perform the testing themselves, regardless of their experience, before taking such a project into the live show environment. You’ll discover soon enough and while you’re at it: share your experience, we’re all curious about your findings! Good luck!
  22. Can you share a pic of the task list? Also, when changing the timeline properties, do you close all tasks and then perform an update? (And then open the timelines again).
  23. 50min long? Might wanna try chopping them in 2 or 4 parts. How big is one file? I wonder what this does to buffer or whatever... Or at least try the same with a few short test files (5 minutes each or so)
