  1. Watchout support HAP ALPHA , NOT HAP Q ALPHA. make sure you convert the right codec.
  2. If you do not need Geometry correction and blending function from Watchout, then you will be fine. if not, It will become very complicated to do the geometry correction for FOUR 1920x1080 in one display(3840x2160) output.
  3. Watchout support Artnet DMX. I can not see SLESA-U8 spec mention anything about artnet. I think SLESA-UA wont work with Watchout.
  4. No? it will lose the blending function. suggest go for proper setup. build 3 sets of 6 output display server with professional graphic card(w9000,w9100 or wx9100). and one production server. Especially you are new to Watchout, dont try to save too much and make shortcut. even i tell you, you can use FX4 with manual masking(blend) to save some output. but since Watchout will treat FX4 as one output, the geometry correction will become a mess. you (even me) will work like hell on site. Personally I would prefer proper setup for 3 x 6output display server & 1 production server.
  5. Make sure the LED processor can sync between each other. from our experience, we always connect direct from display card(Watchmax) to sending card. because LED processor can not accept (native)high resolution, it can only enlarge(digital zoom) to match the LED size. and no sync reference between the processor. Maybe nowadays the LED processor technology improve. Please let us know What is the native pixel of the LED wall, and how many sending cards you are using.
  6. You can check by: Stage-> Manage Display Computer -> Remote Access Display software File-> Edit Startup Script Notepad File-> Save As go back to This PC-> Right Click-> Properties.
  7. No. you can not delete the stage tier
  8. answer is 4! because Watchout only support 1 gpu.
  9. Maybe you can check what program are running on startup via msconfig or Windows Registry?
  10. Radeon Pro Duo are 3 x DP and 1 x HDMI, and 2 x GPU. Watchout only support 1 GPU, so maybe not working with all output.
  11. in the Virtual Display setting. media preview, set to High Quality.
  12. http://www.dataton.com/training or you can contact Dataton Partners near you, they do provide training. http://www.dataton.com/partners
  13. make sure you go online if you want to see the effect.
  14. if you need high performance, and work with sync module, W9100 is your choice. w600 also work for 6 outputs with Watchout, but performance not as good as W9100. You have to TEST the performance before the show!
  15. interesting. Can you share us the video for investigate?
  16. http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/pages/workstation-graphics-drivers.aspx WX series have win7 64bit & win10 64bit driver. and Jochri is correct! no win8, 8.1 driver, so strange that AMD skip win8 & 8.1
  17. No problem. Display PC/ Cluster can be only controlled by ONE MASTER at same time(Production or WatchNET or command line control). and WatchNET can control multi cluster at same time.
  18. Hi Zackboyd, Radeon Pro WX series is the new generation of firepro card.
  19. Hi Alex, quick question, Have you try on Display PC? How's the result? or only in Production?
  20. Hi Alex, What you are doing now, is the way I test how the hardware limitation. not software. as Mike mention, play same video at the same time, it treat playing 1 video file(reading same sector from harddisk) but if you placing the same video in different time(for example, 10), it play 10 video file, reading different sector from harddisk. so 10 x 55.3MB = 553, even i am using samsung 850pro, maximum read speed is 550MB/s i am sure it excess my hardware limitation. Can you tell us what model of Harddisk/SSD you are using? and connection type, sata3, M.2 or? and Motherbroad. If you have faster SSD, please give it a try, and you will know the result. just my 2cents.
  21. The Alienware Graphics Amplifier support PciE x16, but it is only PCI-Express X4 Gen 3. make sure it match your requirement. and Dimensions (WxDxH) 7.3 in x 16.1 in x 6.8 in Weight 7.72 lbs plus one Alienware laptop, i wont call it "Portable", and you still need to purchase extra Display card without full speed(because x4 only) why not built a M-ATX mobo PC with sfx power supply? so you can fully use of Display card & capture card. use smaller chassis, you still can hand-carry onboard. not really suggest buy alienware laptop with AGA.
  22. Henry, How many output do you need for the "portable" display pc?
  23. 1. I personally prefer mpeg2 codec (using ffmpeg) 2. tune the PC by following the tweaklist http://forum.dataton.com/topic/1886-watchout-technical-notes-2015/ and What is your PC hardware spec? and What codec are you using now? and Watchout version?
