  1. Hi, I´ve got an answer from movavi, hap will not be implemented in the next future. Also I asked the developers from TmpgEnc and here´s what they answered: Dear Thomas, thank you for your mail. Yes, you can choose Hap codec as output format. At Format stage > AVI file output > the codecs list choose Hap Alpha (HAP5) or HAP Q (HAPY) active the "Enable alpha channel..." option. If you can't find HAP codec in video codec list, please install the HAP For Direct Show codec http://renderheads.com/product/hap-for-directshow/ and then start the program and try again. About "mpg2 larger then full hd" We're sorry, it is not possible. The maximum video size for MPEG-2 is 1920x1088. By H.264/AVC you can select a resolution of 4096x2304 and by H.265/HEVC up to 8192x4352. You can test by using first the free Trial version of Video Mastering works 6 English: http://tmpgenc.pegasys-inc.com/en/download/tvmw6.html Deutsch: http://tmpgenc.pegasys-inc.com/de/download/tvmw6.html#trial Best regards and a Frohe Weihnachten.
  2. Hi Michael, I think the hap-codec is very interesting becaus of its low cpu usage. The only way to convert into hap I found on the website of the developer : http://vdmx.vidvox.net/tutorials/using-the-hap-video-codec I even would like to know about the plans of dataton to implement hap into watchout 6, it seemed to be the only codec with alpha channel and an acceptable compression. This codec maybe could be a replacement for mpg2-videos (which has a low cpu usage) and animation codec (which encoded videos are quite huge). I asked the developers of the movavi converter, which I use to make mpg2 larger than full hd, if hap will be impemented in the near future. As far as there is answer I will report here. Best regards Tom
  3. As I said; I surrender Yes Jonas you are right, it seemed the transmitter needs a receiver. I just saw a college controlling a presentation.with presenter card. I havn´t seen a receiver so I thought its working via bluetooth or Wifi..... @ jfk yes thats true, 350 and 80 invalidates my argument.... if you don´t need more than three buttons /Tom
  4. Ok, i surrender .... I dont need any, most times I use touchosc. I just wanted to help giving hints for alternatives. And the alternative I gave (PresenterCard) is only $ 80, that is worth to mention
  5. Perfect cue is the professional choice but quite expensive. Alternative: http://www.amazon.com/PresenterCard-PCRF-01-Turning-ResponseCard-Classroom/dp/B00M6E756U The PresenterCard is powerpoint present with 3 additional, free programmable buttons. Another possibility is to use your mobile (or pad) with touchosc: http://hexler.net/software/touchoscavailable for ios and android. /Tom
  6. Years ago I used shutlles, pretty small and powerfull. But after some failures with powersupply and Mb while being on a roadshow and now chance to get replacement parts within a few hours I decided to change. In addition graphics need 2 slots, so you can´t use an internal capture card. My alternative: http://www.silverstonetek.com/legacy.php?pid=64&area=usa&model=SG01&tno= mATX-MB, Standard ATX-power supply, enough space for long graphics, fans for hdd/sdd and graphics, native carrier for SSD, 2x USB 2.0, 2x USB 3.0, sound and firewire at frontpanel, Hight is less than 5 19" units, depth only 40 cm (15") and the weight of a complete system is less than 8 kg. I use Scythe-CPU-fans: http://www.scythe-eu.com/en/products/cpu-cooler/shuriken-rev-b.html or http://www.scythe-eu.com/en/products/cpu-cooler/big-shuriken-2-rev-b.html No problems with overheating. /Tom
  7. Thanks for your work Mike, very helpful!
  8. I can´t Imagine that a second display-computer is cheaper, cause you should think of the third dongle you have to use then......
  9. Hi Thomas Take a look at Asus, Asrock or Gigabyte Z-160 Mainboards. There are some that support 2 x 32 or 32 & 8 lanes without sharing. This is very usefull when using a capture card. Other manufactory might have this option too, But the new M.2 SSD with PCIe connection and fast NVMe are very usefull, because of their speed you don´t need to set up raids to play (more than one) 4k-video. /Tom

    h.265 ?

Hi Mike thanks for your answer. I agree, but unfortunately I got some files from my client in h265. So I have to recode......

    h.265 ?

Hi all, I searched the forum but couldn´t find an answer: Doese WO6 support h.265 ? Thanks in advance....
  12. How many Frames delay do you have when using the Intensity Shuttle USB 3.0?
  13. Yes, you are right. While c612 is the professional choice for I7 extreme only the 59xx series supports 40 Lanes.
  14. @ Claude.Rivet: take a look at : http://forum.dataton.com/topic/398-if-watchout-works-with-mac/ I think it has been asked a hundred times in this forum. Watchoutout is Windows only ...
  15. Maybe the problem was not caused by the x4 slot; you always have to check the sharing of the the lanes of the pci-e slots. So it could be that the x4 slot shares its lanes with another slot. Most times the manual or the website with the detailed informations about the mainboard shows how to use the slots without restrictions caused by sharing.
  16. I tested Blackmagic Decklink Studio 4k, works fine uo to 1080p / 60 Hz. Price is round about the half of a Datapath e1. More Infos and specs : https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/decklink/techspecs/W-DLK-12
  17. @ Artbase try running the display Software with right click on it, and choose run with Nvidia. Then Watchout Display should run with the Nvidia GPU and not with CPU integrated GPU.
  18. I won´t contradict screenshaper that this clip is rendered from a 3D suite, but we did similar mappings live. I was involved in the launch of 2014 Porsches Macan in Barcelona but unfortunately I´m not allowed to show any videos. But believe it was quite near the same result. The Macan was presented on a turning table and was projected by two Barcos with a softedge. Another sample I was involved was the launch if the Audi A3 at the end of 2012. Not as good as the Porsche thing but worth to see: Mapping and Warping was made with a live 3D rendering software. The result was captured and then reproduced inside a larger watchout show. Another, very nice example for a live 3D (where I was NOT involved ), is: But to answer your question, the mapping can´t be done with watchout only, you need some more tools.
  19. @ Jonas I tested it with a FirePro W8000. Maybe thats the difference? Not tested with consumer-cards. Greets
  20. What about 3 Outputs each with a Datapath X4 or a TripleHead to go?
  21. @ Jonas, when using a MST-Hub no need of active adapters, because the MST is active itself. Tested. But maybe active Adapters are better i didn´t tested it. And you´re right; with DP 1.2 and higher the outputs of an mst work as separate outputs. @ Lloyd I tested it with : http://www.club-3d.com/index.php/produkte/leser.de/product/radeon-r9-280x-royalqueen.html And http://www.club-3d.com/index.php/produkte/leser.de/product/mst-hub-1-3.html @ Ramos sorry, wrong copy and paste, no SDI just 6 x miniDp
  22. FirePro W9000, 6144 MB GDDR5, 6x mini DP, 1x SDI FirePro W9100, 16384 MB GDDR5, 6x mini DP, 1x SDI SDI Radeon R9 280X - 3GB GDDR5 - PCI Express 3.0 x16 - 2 x DVI, 4 x DisplayPort Or any AMD with two mini-Displayport and two MST Hubs
