  1. Yeah, we tried one level only on comp and in comp and no love. We just burned 3 layers in the main timeline.
  2. Looping video plays correctly in the main timeline. Put the looping video in a composition, exactly the same time as the media and set media to free running and loop. Also set the comp to free running loop. When this happens I get one frame of black. Not preferable, but are we all experiencing this? v6.6
  3. I'm using Showsage computers from 4Wall too. version 6.5 No issues with NDI on Aux Timelines. No issues with stability. No issues with preview changes. I'll see about your other issues in a bit.
  4. Moderators, Due to the links at the end of this 1st post, I'm inclined to believe it is spam.
  5. Hi All, Having gotten used to After Effects time jumping methods, I sure would love to have Watchout do the same thing. In AE, I type minutes(decimal)seconds(decimal)frames. 01.01.10 and I go to 1 minute 1 second 10 frames. If I could do the same thing in WO then I would never have to take my hand off the number pad after I type CNTRL J. I know it wouldn't be frames, that's fine, I just don't want to move my hand to hit Shift ; all the time. Please and Thank you.
  6. In relation to your second issue with showing frames while MSC is jumping around on the timeline, this has been the case for awhile. Regular playback of a show with MSC won't show any problems.
  7. Hi callum, As another option to keep it simple: When I run off of MSC, I usually just have those utility aux timelines triggered by a play cue (tell timeline named: x) located in the main timeline. Once I've made my open and close control cues, we can just cut and paste them wherever we need to add one.
  8. This has been happening since 6.0 There are several discussions about it through a search. Until a fix is announced, I would consider it expected behavior.
  9. For the future people finding this, what version of OSX and Adobe software are you running? Works fine for me on OS 10.13.6, and Adobe AE 15.1.2
  10. This also happens with MSC. We've seen it a good bit lately.
  11. I just set a display to 240W X 150H in the Stage Position and Size window. That was down from 1920X1200. V6.2.2
  12. Hi Miro, That information about Win 10 is very useful. Do you think we could get a Win10 pinned post at the top of the forum that includes all the useful bits and pieces from other posts until we finally get a tweaking list?
  13. Hi Callum, I'm in the same boat. As I was working on a different type of project, I discovered Universe. We've been thinking about how awesome it would be for theatre too. It would take a little programming on your end, but it could essentially become an RFU for the LX operator to quickly switch to a backup, triggering everything in the order you want. http://www.presentation-technologies.de/universe.html#top Hope this helps.
  14. I can second this. I had recent show with a very similar, but not identical piece of hardware utilizing 5 outputs. We would see this daily. About 4-6 restarts by Watchdog before the Watchout loaded properly. We didn't have time to trouble shoot this issue, but I can confirm this is not just your rigs.
  15. Adobe is looking to bring HAP back. There is a big support request on the Adobe forums about this issue. FREE --- AVF Batch Converter gives still encodes HAP, but not out of After Effects: https://github.com/Vidvox/hap-in-avfoundation/releases NOT FREE --- After Codecs uses FFMpeg to encode in Adobe software: https://aescripts.com/aftercodecs/?ref=sitewide_banner That's what I got for you now. I admit disruption to the workflow is frustrating. It's all supposedly based on OSX 10.14 forcing support for 64bit. If you're on OSX be very careful about the update to 1
  16. I have used these PJLink for a long time and have always had to put in 2-3 cues into the aux timeline to send a command into in case the first one fails. For this show I am currently doing, we made an looping aux timeline that sends a carriage return every 20 seconds to all projectors. This has reduced our failed to send data message rate by easily 95%.
  17. I don't know if you've come across this yet, but I've been using it on my last project in After Effects. It's called Render Garden. https://www.mekajiki.com/rendergarden/ It uses all the cores, ffmpeg as a backbone with an after effects interface, you put your files in the render cue, and plant a garden that runs in the background. It's a lot faster than AE or AME.
  18. Hi All, Getting a quicktime error on a show that previously ran in earlier versions. QuickTime Error:-8961 Looks to be a 960X600 .mov file I've gotten this on another test show that I used HAP to encode. This file was created way before HAP, so I'm curious if I have encoding problems or a bad install. Thanks, CC
  19. Could we get a new Feature request page started for WO6? Most of this thread was dedicated to WO5, and it would be nice to differentiate. I do use the go to unread posts button, but I'd rather sort by V5 vs V6 for simplicity. Thanks,
  20. Hi Brent, I've done it several times and it works excellent through Watchout. Make sure to do the math on positioning very well, tiny bits of lens shift, and maybe a little warping since you're probably using very wide lenses. Also, make a grid that will be exactly what your overlap and output image will be. If you plan properly, adjustments and alignment will be quick.
  21. I can't remember if this has been posted before now that we are at 8 pages, but..... It would be great if WO production remembered it's layout over 2 monitors. It always remembers only the main monitor, and I have to resize everytime I restart. Thanks.
  22. I second this: #6 An option to have darker interface colours. -I work with stage shows, in dark rooms, and especially the timeline window really lights up the auditorium.. The white timeline is really hard on my eyes.
  23. I know this list keeps getting longer and longer, but here's another. Could we have a MIDI/MSC toggle keyboard shortcut that would activate/deactivate MIDI/MSC inside watchout? When the Lighting Designer is jumping around doing notes, it's a real pain. The console can turn it off, but I would like to inside Watchout. Also, a little RED/GREEN button that shows whether it is toggled on and off.
  24. How about a feature request not related specifically to Watchout, but the forum? With all the feature requests that get posted here that Watchout can already do, maybe a "How To" tab at the top of the forum with mini videos or a screenshot that briefly show how to do things like Ctrl-P for markers, linear key, setting up Watchman, etc... That way if someone needed a refresher, it's all there in one convienient place. I know a lot of it is in the manual, and everyone should really start there, but some people may not think of using play cues as markers...... Clint
