  1. I need to have a minimum of 2 hdmi inputs and 1 sdi input at the same time I wanted to buy two DeckLink Mini Recorder 4K cards, but then I found out that in each of them you can use only one input. It is not possible to find information on other cards, where you can use as many inputs as you want. Maybe my way, this is 2 Intensity Pro 4K and one Decklink Mini Recorder 4K Help me with choosing a capture card. I would not want more than $ 1000 in total. My videocard is w8100, if it's important Thank you
  2. Hi, I am having issues with cameras, putting out 1080p25. I cannot get them to sho in WO Display (v6.2.1). I am using the newest Decklink driver 10.7.1. In Blackmagic Media Express the camera is there. The new auto-detect in the software tells me the input is 1080p25. But no chance to get it working with WO. I tried with two different cameras. I tried with the Decklink Quad (v1), Decklink Duo (v1+2). When I downgraded the Blackmagic driver to Decklink version 10.1.1 it is working in WO. Another thing is, that I have to use "Decklink Video Capture" instead of "Blackmagic WDM Capture" with version 10.7.1 (or newer than 10.3.7). Otherwise, I only get Input 1 working in WO. All other Inputs are dead, although they are shown in Media Express. Any clues?
  3. Hi all, Just a heads up on the new, cheap Blackmagic Decklink Mini Recorder capture card. http://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/decklink/techspecs#35424 While on the surface it looks like a perfect replacement for a Blackmagic Intensity Pro, with one HDMI input and one 1.5G HDSDI input (not to be used simultaneously), it bring some caveats. The HDMI input ONLY accepts an YUV-signal, NOT a RGB-signal, as Intensity Pro can, meaning most computer sources are not possible to use with this card. If Blackmagic intend to fix this or not, is not known as of now, but until they do, proceed with caution. Hope this helps, /jonas
  4. Hi, I just wanted to share some of my latest BMD Decklink issues, in the hope to get some feedback from some (worried) users. Does someone know, if the newest driver version 10.5.2 for the BMD Decklink Video Capture Cards (SDI Duo/Quad) works with WO? Currently, we have installed version 10.1.1 and 10.3.7 as these work okay, as far as BMD things work... I discovered, when I updating the driver from 10.1.1 to 10.3.7 (to capture a GoPro4, what's not possible with 10.1.1) on a display PC wit Decklink Quad SDI, that older WO shows, with Live Cameras in it, created with the older driver didn't work anymore. The camera signals came into the card, but WO was not able to show them. I downgraded to 10.1.1 and it wored again. So, does does the WO show save, which BMD Decklink driver was used when creating the show? And does it help re-installing Watchout after I updated the Decklink driver+firmware? The goal is, to be able to run all old shows with most stable decklink driver...if something like this exists. An other strange thing is, that with version 10.3.7, Watchout Display is only able to show live video, when "Decklink Video Capture" is selected. (cntrl+W, then Live Input Devices) On 10.1.1 we used to run the "WDM capture", as recommended. Also, it is not possible, to run a show with Live Video, which was created with a Display-PC where the WMD driver was selected on an other PC where Decklink Video driver is selected. Watchout Display even crashes, when you try to go online on a Live Input in the timeline. So I guess WO loses the connection to the Live Input Card, once the Driver is different from the original. Am I right with this assumption?
  5. Hey there. We have recently purchased the ATI Radeon HD6990 with 4x Mini Display Ports and 1x Dual Link DVI Output. We have also purchased the Black Magic Decklink SDI Capture Card for an upcoming gig. As we have just got it all working together we thought we'd put it to the test, only to discover, that the input from the capture card doesn't work over the blended areas, it simply appears blank. Please let us know if there is something we are doing incorrectly so that we can solve this issue. Our proof of this issue is that after going to File/Preferences/Edge Blend and taking the blend out all together, immediately the full capture spans across all the displays. This is something we are hoping to rectify else we will need to pull in the likes of an encore or similar and budget of course doesn't allow. So if you have any ideas, please let us know by responding in this post. Many thanks.
  6. Hola compadres! ive got some issues getting my inputs to behave like i want in Watchout 6. display computers, 2x: motherboard: MK Asus X79-DELUXE CPU: Core i7-4930K s2011 3.4 GHz 10MB Memory: Corsair 16GB (4-KIT) DDR3 VENGEANCE 1,5V LOW Graphics: AMD FirePro W7000 4GB/GDDR5 + s400 sync card Input: 2x datapath rgb-e2s, 1x decklink sdi Screens being used is 8x NEC 55" unv, with 1080p@50 via displayport from GPU to screens. Signal to inputs are coming from a barco pds 902 3g, outputting 720p@50 via SDI. The issue is that when the input is showing over the two display computers, the input cant fade up nicely. Ive tried having an auxillary open with the input Active with opacity 0, and having 1-10 seconds of 0% opacity and then fading up, but usually one of the displays goes black and then pops up instead of fading. It doesnt happen everytime, but way too often to be comfortable with it with important clients. When using the decklink sdi card, that is synced up with the same genlock as the displays. The datapath cant be locked, but gets a sort of sync from the dvi if I remember correctly. I thought the pds could be the issue, so tried it out with a genlocked Folsom image pro instead, but the same behaviour. ive tried splitting the sdi signal and feed the decklinks with a separate signal, and also tried looping it through the first card. im running out of ideas, but maybe there is something simple ive simply forgotten. Thankful for any input (pun intended), Robert
  7. Hi, all We have a good workink display PC and have just installed a Decklink dou card in to it The card itself work perfectly - both inputs are active and work with blackmagic software. Watchout display software gives 2 options for each input WDM capture and decklink capture But none of them works we've checked all the setting in both Display and production software Everything is set to the same 1080i50 Inputs are assigned in the Display software... But finaly it shows just nothing. Would appreciate any piece of advice - have only 2 dey before the show
  8. Hi all! Fresh info from a new integration project we just did in a tv broadcaster. Display cluster build according to the last specs, including W9100 display card, RAIDs, etc... Win 8.1 Pro x64... latest bios/ drivers/ etc... 24hour live test of the computer prior to the WO installation We chose Blackmagic Decklink Duo (Dual SDI input) as a capture card since it dual input was the request and it was relatively best card comparing price/ quality. Although it's written that Decklink Duo works even on a x4 slot in fact it doesn't perform good - there is a black flicker when live feed is provided to the screen (even when only one of the inputs is used). After moving to a faster slot problems are solved (for now and, hopefully, for ever)
  9. Hey, I'm struggling to get a live feed working into Watchout and I'm running out of ideas. I'm taking a sony CX130 out 1080i 59.94 to a Black magic SDI converter, which is plugged into a BM Decklink Studio 2 SDI in for a watchout machine with 2 outputs. Media Express finds the signal just fine, but the live feed media object in Watchout remains blank. I have the Decklink studio capture set to live-in 1 on the display computer, and on the production computer I have have set the target device to 1, SDI video, input 1, video standard 1080 59.94. I've tried interlacing, switching recognized HD resolutions, everything I can think of. It doesn't seem to be a computer/camera/converter issue, since I'm getting it at Media Express. Help! I didn't see anything like this in the forums, so hopefully I'm not repeating a solved issue. Thanks, Bryan
