Hi, I have the question about timecode. Could anyone provide me any solution? There are some devices of my cluster system: item spec Qty. Display Computer Dataton 3368B Watchpax 60 2 Production Computer Intel Core i5, OpenGL 2.1, 16GB RAM, 500 GB HDD 1 Timecode Interface Rosendahl Studiotechnik mif4 1 I expect that I can output the timecode signal of mif4 to the audio card of display computer 1, and then the two display computers can follow the timecode to play the show at the same time. And I also expect the production computer only be used for the preceding procedures. During the show we won’t turn on or use the production computer. I’ve added the timecodeMode script in the startup script and also set the audio card of display computer 1 to receive the timecode signal. How can we reach my expectation to use the whole system?
Hey guys. I have a display cluster that is being controlled by medialon. We are having it chase timecode from medialon. Medialon sends a load show command with a timecode mode command. We are having issues of 1 out of about 20 timecode starts, it doesnt chase correctly. We are running 6.1.6 since none of the new versions seemed to work right with timecode. We have other devices listening to timecode and they work fine. I have used the watchout timecode test tool and my levels are set correclty (about 75% of the bargraph). When the problem occurs, the playback jumps all over the place as soon as it starts chasing. Rebooting the cluster machine seems to fix the issue. Until another time period where it happens again. These machines can be left on 24/7 waiting for timecode, correct? thanks Jason
Hi It's my first experience with Time Code I have a Production PC running WO5.x and 4 Display PC for video playout. Sound playback is provided by a MAC running ProTools. We are wondering to set up a second MAC running QLabs that provide MSC commands (GO) to WO and to ProTools, so we have the same START. Video will be set in free running and each video has a longest tail, so some seconds before the end of each song, WO's main timeline is in pause and ready to receive MSC "GO" and start the next video. But how can I be sure that during the 5 minutes of each song music and video will always be in sync? I'm thinking about a LTC that can be provided by QLab as well. My question is: does time code correspond to main time line time? (i.e. 00:00:05:00 in LTC correspond to 00:00:05.000 in main timeline)? I mean, I only need to sync the clock of WO and ProTools device, as my video will often be in free running and then in pause. So WO time will not be the same of ProTolls time, except at 0. Does LTC only give the clock sync or it refers directly to WO main timeline absolut time? thanks
