  1. Hi! I have an older project with watchout (version6.6.5), smpt correctly working on this project. when I'm upgraded to version 6.7 then watchout dont work with smpt (settings same as both, so was choose smpt input device and use auto detect, later when not work then i try many options) watchout signal tester dont work correctly, signal strenght is good but numbers "bouncing". after i dowgraded back to 6.6.5 then project smpt working good, but (embedded) signal tester remained the same fault.. try 2 version smpt: 1. unknown source wav file ebu 25 (detected WO 6.6.5 timecode tester) 2 generated by qlab 25 fps non drop So, this is a new bug??
  2. Hi Braintrust, I have been trying to send LTC from a Watchpax 60 on an audio track to play a large number of discrete audio files using a pre-recorded SMPTE file. When I do, the file plays "dirty"; I get a lot of dropped frames, and the equipment I am trying to sync (Q-SYS) stutters. I was using an attached Scarlett 820i, but bypassed it for default audio output as a test; no change in result. The audio line is running direct from Watchout to an IO frame with no other equipment in line. I've tried multiple SMPTE files from multiple sources; all have the same problem, and all of them work when I play directly from another source. I'm making heavy use of asynchronous playback through auxiliary timelines, so syncing Watchout to Q-SYS or an alternative SMPTE source isn't going to work in my situation. The file, Watchout, and Q-SYS are all set to 48k. Is there some larger issue getting SMPTE to output from Watchout, or some trick to it I should be aware of? Thanks!
  3. I am working on a project and receiving timecode for show control. When timecode is being received, the main timeline does not sync with the external timecode. There seems to be some drift. Both the video file, timecode, and wo settings are all 29.97 NDF. Not sure why this is, hoping someone might have some input. Thank you, Joeartist
  4. Hey guys. I have a display cluster that is being controlled by medialon. We are having it chase timecode from medialon. Medialon sends a load show command with a timecode mode command. We are having issues of 1 out of about 20 timecode starts, it doesnt chase correctly. We are running 6.1.6 since none of the new versions seemed to work right with timecode. We have other devices listening to timecode and they work fine. I have used the watchout timecode test tool and my levels are set correclty (about 75% of the bargraph). When the problem occurs, the playback jumps all over the place as soon as it starts chasing. Rebooting the cluster machine seems to fix the issue. Until another time period where it happens again. These machines can be left on 24/7 waiting for timecode, correct? thanks Jason
  5. Hi there, I'm familiarizing myself with Timecode. Right now we can send Timecode to the display computer and control the timeline via that Timecode. What I'm wondering is if there is a way to read the Timecode while video is playing from the display computer without using WireTag.
  6. I have a system with one production server and three display servers running WO5. I was wondering if I was to trigger the timeline externally via a SMPTE timecode, will I still be able to maintain control over/manually override on the production server? Also, will I need the SMPTE signal plugged into the line in of the production server? Do I need set the display servers as a 'display cluster' Thank in advance. Jason
  7. Hello, I like to write a small tool that gives me two information: 1) Timecode of a specific task in my watchout project 2) How long will a current task or clip will played (time to end) Is it possible to read out those values by network? Thanks, Meldur
  8. So am using a MIF-4 by Rosendahl in GEN mode as master SMPTE source for Watchout and other various devices such as lighting, effects, etc.... The MIF-4 timecode mode is set for 30 - ND When you run the Watchout Time Code checker program on the signal it says it is SMPTE-NDF in it's detection... So the Watchout - timecodemode setting that works seems to be 5...which is SMPTE-30 (B&W) according to manual... I'm just making sure that SMPTE-NDF in the timecode checker and timecodemode=5 are the right combination...
  9. So , here is my issue... In status timecode and main timeline position are the same(+- one frame but that,I don't care) But real main position timeline is 14seconds off of those two... setting of timecode is not in auto detect... it is ndf. the further I get into the timeline, the more off it is... running version 5.5.1 timecode tester is reading it perfect anyone has an idea on how to fix this?

  11. Here's my gear 3- m91p Lenovo pc small form factors 1- grand ma small lighting board I am using the Ndf timecode file provided on the wo 5 key flash drive to send tc To a small grand ma light board for cues. I have 3 display pc's 1 is sending video out over dvi to 2 christie hd10k-m projectors 2- are sending out video over hdmi output to two groups of led monitors playing the same video file And they need to have audio play back with video on the led screens. The client wants to have light cues to go along with video. I want to use the production pc to send the timecode audio to the light board. I have the video which right now has the audio embedded on the main timeline and the timecode two layers underneath it on the main time line. I have pulled the speaker icon for the timecode out of all the 1920x1080 displays on the stage and just have it sitting in the stage window. Everything is fine timecode only coming out on production pc and the audio from the video coming out only on the displays. However I can still hear the videos audio playing back on the production machine as well as the timecode sound. And this is causing the light board to drop the timecode audio. How do I make it so the audio from the videos placed in the displays on the stage only go out to the display machines and is not heard on the production machine? Only the timecode sound comes out on the production is what I need to do without stopping the audio going out to the display machines. Thanks ahead of time for any and all help
