Myngus
Hi, hoping to get some help with Dynamic Image Server. I am creating SWF files, which play nicely in web browsers, but the Dynamic Image Server application just shows it up as black. anyone got any ideas why they don't show up? cheers. screenshaper
Maybe because you don't have any decoder for flash video installed on the display PC's?
Jonas Dannert
What kind of SWF files are we talking about? If it's full frame rate movies, it will be hard to make it work through DIS, it's not designed for that use case. http://forum.dataton.com/topic/1139-swf-and-dynamic-image-server/?do=findComment&comment=4639 /jonas
jme
To be able to playback .swf file in the dynamic image server you need to have Flash installed on the computer running the Dynamic Image Server. A good test is to start Internet Explorer on the computer you intend to run the DIS on and manually load the .swf file into the browser. If the file work inside the browser they should also work in the DIS. But as Jonas says you will not get any "high frame rate" movies/animation to work this way. I would guess 10-15fps maximum with low-res .swf files if you have a good computer and a very fast network connection to the display computers.
