Moderator Karol Posted July 25, 2024 Moderator Report Posted July 25, 2024 Hi, a few questions to hopefully narrow down the possibilities: - Has the capture been working before when using 6.3.1 version? - Is the capture channel configured on Display server side? - What is the signal you are trying to capture? Does it fit within the limits of the capture card? 0 Quote
anuj gupta Posted July 27, 2024 Author Report Posted July 27, 2024 1. Yes the capture working fine in version 6.3.1 but one day during the show i got this error by playing a task which was capturing a switcher, after the show i updated to 6.7.3 version and the problem still consist. In 6.3.1 it happen 2 times while playing the task but on this version(6.7.3) it happen on by updating a files or by going live. 2. Yes the channel is correctly configured 3. Yes the capture signal is within the limit of the capture card, its 1920x1080 0 Quote
Moderator Karol Posted July 29, 2024 Moderator Report Posted July 29, 2024 This looks like a failure inside the filter graph for the capture. There has no changes made to capture between Watchout 6.3.1 and 6.7.3 versions, so the different behavior must be coincidental or externally triggered. If there are any WATCHPOINT logs that have been saved from log directory in the Watchout installation path, that might illuminate what has caused the crash. 0 Quote

Moderator Karol Posted August 1, 2024 Moderator Report Posted August 1, 2024 Hello, Unfortunately the log files did not contain any useful data pertaining to the crash, which reinforces the idea that the cause might be external, like the capture card driver. Make sure you are using the latest Vision driver for the capture card. https://www.datapathsoftware.com/downloads/ Another thing to try is to use different software to try to reproduce the same effect, i would recommend either: - NDI tools > use the Webcam tool to convert the capture stream to NDI and then preview it to see if it is stable - OBS studio > create a Capture device source and preview it inside the app 0 Quote
