    same problem either

and no external show control software,

only controlled by the production software

the message box always tell network error;display computer: connection lost   and connect Failed

but the display computer can be controlled by the production correctly

    anybody could explain this?

    thanks

It really depends on the budget available.

For small shows, we use a second tier with another set of screens. This allows you to program without thinking about backup at all. You just need a matrix switcher or a second set of inputs on the receiving end (AnalogueWay, Barco,...).

For higher demands it might be necessary to have a second programming computer as well. In this case you can set up to independent sets of hardware. Still, you will need to care about the switching of the signals if one system fails.

To synchronize the systems, you could trigger your timelines using a DMX/Artnet device since this sends into the network and both systems would see it as long as they are on the same physical network.

The most advanced approach would be to use a control system (e.g. www.universe-control.com) which allows to control any number of WATCHOUT systems, can synchronize those and can also take care of controlling the matrix switcher.

    thanks very very much?
