When online 3h into the show. the WATCHPAX was playing a timeline(background loop) with a Prores442 3648x864@25
The loop had been playing for approx 2h and other material(videos, stills and the HDMI & NDI) had been displayed on top of the loop.
Then the loop was the only thing playing for 20min when the error appered.

The WATCHPAX displayed the WO Logo on both screens and the errors stacked up on the display computer.

Network error, Display computer: Connection Lost

Went offline and online again, first time did not work, went offline and online again, then the WATCHPAX responded and displayed the LOOP again.
    After this it has worked...

Any advice/tips would be appreciated. / Mattias

  2. Hi all.

I had a project where the customer wanted to use instagram to let the participants update the big screen with their own photos in "real-time"

When testing it there I had a problem where the new images didn´t show up, the only fix was to restart the Dynamic Imageserver.

After some thinking and banging my head I discovered that internet explorer cached the images in "Temporary Internet Files"

Hense, turning off internet caching in IE solved my problem.

    Hope it helps someone.

  3. Hi all.

I have just built a couple of new Display Computers that looks like this:

    WIN7 PRO 64bit

    ASUS P9X79 DELUXE X79 S-2011 ATX

    INTEL CORE I7 3930K 3.20GHZ 12MB S-2011

    32GB of KINGSTON HYPERX GENESIS 1600MHZ DDR3 CL9 XMP

    ASUS RADEON HD7970 DCII TOP 3GB GDDR5 PCI-E DVI/DP

    1 x CORSAIR FORCE GT SERIES 3 2.5" 120GB SSD MLC (SYSTEM)

    2 x CORSAIR FORCE GT SERIES 3 2.5" 120GB SSD MLC (RAID-0 DATA)

    CORSAIR H100 HYDRO CPU COOLER

I have not decided what kind of capture card i will mount in them.

In most applications we would have HD-SDI from a production mixer coming in.

Anyone that can point me to a good and tested capture card?

    I have looked at:

DeckLink HD Extreme with dual SDI inputs.

    http://www.blackmagic-design.com/products/decklinkhdextreme/models/

But for getting external computers in VNC is crisp but framerate is bad.

Have anyone tried any Hardware VNC Servers like:

    Adderlinks iPeps

    http://www.adder.com/products/adderlink-ipeps#specification

    or

    Blackboxs ServSwitch Wizard IP Plus

    http://www.blackbox.com/Store/Detail.aspx/ServSwitch-Wizard-IP-Plus/ACR2005A

The latter claiming to support 1080p Video. and both VGA and DVI

if this works it would be perfect as the speakers coming in late with their own PC/MAC can just plug it in.

    / Mattias
