  1. Hi,

I would like to know how Watchout treats a duplicate WMV file? ( > regarding the sound).

(usually I use separate Video + Audio files).

    For example:

    1 display, 2 screen.

Some cues are a duplicate on the 2 separate screens (at exactly the same time).

The cue is a WMV file that have sound.

It seems that only one cue is playing the sound.

  2. In order to succesfuly download the files into the Display PC you must use a Production PC.

Then you can use your Display PC as a standalone.

For auto run or other controlling option see p.257 @ user manual.

  3. The problem was with a projector that was connected to a display that is working (24/7), but the projector is shut down after each show.

When the video start, which is about 5 minutes after the show has started, the picture disappeared for a very short period (like! a quick re-sync).

I never saw such a behavior.

The next thing to do is to put an image prior to the video, and see if it is still accrue.

I couldn't checked it yet, so meanwhile I asked if it could be a difference between the signals that come out from the graphic card:

While online - to - when the display play the media.

Hope I'm clear with the description...

  4. Grate!

A small note for the local language - in my case - Hebrew.

If you have Win 7 English version, and you install the Hebrew keyboard, under "Language and Regions" > "Format" set it to English instead of Hebrew. In that way you will avoid the annoying situation, that all the fields within the internal windows menu are switch direction to Right to Left.

I haven't checked what going on under local Hebrew Windows, but I hope that Dataton will find the way to keep the visual look like it is in English. As long as the menu within the Watchout application is in English, we don't need it to be RTL.

This is regarding the Production (=programing). As far as I test it doesn't make any changes under the Display, except that when using the "Text Media", it sometimes need to be update, when you move between different OS.

  5. Is there any difference between a projection of "black image or video", to the situation of "no image" on the timeline?

And, are there any difference related to the above when the outputs of the graphic card are Analog or Digital?

    * I'm trying to figure out a very minor strange behavior, when the timelines moves from "no image" to "video" it is doing like "re-sync".

    Any related info are welcome!

    Thanks,

    Michael H.

  6. Hi,

Will it be OK to stretch one fade cue of one DMX ch to 50 minutes, and to set all the fade cues on it?

And a wish for version 5.4 is to lit the output device when choosing the related cue.

  7. I'm looking for a reliable multi channel sound card to run under windows 7 and Watchout 5.x

It is only for playing 5 channel wave file (so all the extra feature that come with those heavy cards is not really needed)

    Any recommendation?

  8. A time elapsed / time remaining counter for media elements and tasks.

I just put notes and images, usually from 60 sec down.

You can put it aside to your stage window.

And if your cue is short (free running for example) run an aux timeline, and remember to stop it.
