Impact of introducing QoS in a network?

Hi all!

I've been looking into the impact of introducing Quality of Service settings on a managed network switch which would run multiple devices, some of which include Watchout / Watchpax shows with cue signals to communicate with other devices, and was wondering if there is anything in particular I was looking out for.

Obviously bandwidth wouldn't be such an issue as the shows would run on their display devices without network involvement, but I was thinking more along the lines of latency issues when operating with a millisecond focused time code.

As it stands I'm aware that running on an non-managed network switch would be preferable, but I was wondering if anyone has had any previous experience with QoS?

Cheers for the help!
