Member Rogier Tuinte Posted November 3, 2011 Member Report Share Posted November 3, 2011 We used the new 3D functionality for projection onto a cube. Each video projector, projecting onto 2 sides of the cube. Check http://vimeo.com/28925396 I’m not sure if the 3D perspective settings in Watchout is created with these kind of application in mind. But it would be useful when it’s possible to set the 3D perspective settings for each projector / display output. Especially when one projector is closer to the object then the other or because of different lenses.
Member Rogier Tuinte Posted November 8, 2011 Author Member Report Share Posted November 8, 2011 Neil I've uploaded a zip file with a simple sample project file for a 4 side projection with 2 projectors. I used 2 stage tiers. One tier for side 1 + 2 and another tier for side 3 + 4. You only have to replace the media with your own media. www.total-image.nl/watchout/3DTest.zip
David Organ
Thanks for the excellent post. I'm awaiting my Watchout 5 keys upgrade and itching to try out some more sophisticated Projection Mapping. Justin Myers posted a "Video Projection Mapping - Proof Of Concept" video on Vimeo did you see it? http://vimeo.com/31920325
