davor
Watchpax2-Wiretag audio synchronization Hi to all, I'm trying to sync audio translation on pickup over wiretag connected to watchpax2 with movie that runs on the main timeline, but wiretag behaves like a normal microtag. Audio track on pickup always starts from the beginning and is not in sync with main timeline. I put audio translation in aux timeline "1030", export it and transfer to pickup with album name "1030". Then delete audio from the aux timeline and made a cue on the main timeline that starts "1030" timeline. Wiretag has ID:1030. Wiretag triggers right audio on pickup but from the beginning not in sync with main timeline, aux timeline is running. Watchout 6 system. Did I miss something?? In next project I have 2 watchpax2 and 4 wiretags connected to it, goal is to have audio translation on 5 languages synced with show. It is a large room and idea is to have this 4 wiretags for coverage. Is it possible to use them with same ID to cover room with IR signal? best regards davor
Rui Avelans Coelho
Hello Davor I am going to do a project similar to your next project. 2 watchpax2 and 3 wiretags to cover all the room. I have the same question that you had. Should I use the same ID for all the wiretags? Did you already implemented this project? Best regards rui avelans coelho
davor
Hi Rui, Yes, I have implemented this project successfully :-) The only problem I had was that wiretags were not on COM3, It's not a rule that they will be on COM3. You have to find them and then edit the script. connect to port 3039 from another computer and issue the command:authenticate 1Then try to open serial ports by using the serialPort command:serialPort true COM3(Make sure you have a capital P in serialPort)If opening the port succeeds, you will not see anything in the telnet session, but it if fails, you will get an error message then try COM4....COM5 if you have two wiretags or more (with usb hub) on one watchpax find them all and define them in script file Yes , use the same ID for all wiretags. There are three places where you need to set the four-digit id number:1. In the album name (first four characters) in the correcsponding audio file.2. As the name of the aux timeline in Watchout3. In the Wiretag. best regards davor
Erik Rönnqvist
Yes, you can configure several Wiretags identically and connect to the same display computer to cover a larger area. They should work with any powered USB hub, in case there aren't enough USB ports on the display computer. However, when connecting more than a few (say four or more) to the same computer, Windows takes its time making all Wiretags available, so you may need to add a delay to the startup script, before trying to open them I'm Watchout. /Erik
