TomTom
Hello ! I'm about to install a small Watchout cluster in a museum, controlled by Watchnet (which is by the way very pleasant to use ), and I'd like to setup a monitoring system, so I can receive an email if errors appear in Watchnet. My idea is to use a software (like this one) that will read Watchnet's log file and send me an email when it sees an error. The problem is I can't find the log file; could you tell me if there's one, and where it's located ? Thank you !
Mike Fahl
It should be here: ~/WATCHNET_Data/logs/WATCHNET.log Log files are numbered and rotated (I believe up to 10 files are kept). Mike
TomTom
Thank you ! It's so obvious that I didn't see it, I was looking for a hidden file in appdata, program files or something
Mike Fahl
FYI, the location of this log folder is covered in the manual: http://academy.dataton.com/watchnet/running-server Mike
