Alex Mellinas
Hi all, We are experiencing a really really rare issue with one of our Watchout installations. Is a very simple installation: one computer attached to a projector via HDBaseT. The issue: each thursday since the installation (about one month and a half ago) at 17:50 watchout stops working. In the middle of the show, the video stops (but the audio continues playing) and it just shows the WO logo. The only way to recover the control is restarting the show computer, I can't authenticate with Crestron system or go live with the production computer. I am using WO 6.1.5, Display computer is W7 and production W10. Any idea on what can be happening? Thanks in advance, Alex.
QuinLoft
Had something similar happen a few years back. It ended up being Quicktime was scheduled to look for an update once a week. It's probably something similar on your rig.
Member SFluster Posted June 24, 2017 Member Report Share Posted June 24, 2017 Might be apple software update. I believe it defaults to checking for updates weekly.
Thomas Leong
Here's a shot - May be a preset Task being started/executed and interferes with Watchpoint running. With such precision and occurrence, it may be easy to track down. Possible Solution Area - On the Display PC, hit Windows key > Task Scheduler Look down the list for one that starts every Thurs at 17:50. Highlight it > Delete If that solves it, please report back here as to the Task Name. We would like to know the culprit too! Alex Mellinas
Hi Thomas! You are absolutely right. There was an apple software task every thursday at 17:56. I deleted it and hopefuly this thursday everything will work right. Thank you very Much. @SFluster and Ryan: thank you also for your answers, I took a look at it even though I remember I did it when did the tweaking. zackboyd
This is one(of the many) reasons I don't install quicktime on my machines.
