Percival
Hi Guys, Does anyone have experience with playing back DXV3 Content in Watchout ? I happened to come across a situation where accidentally we loaded a few DXV 3 Files, and it seemed to play relatively well, Be Great to know if anyone else has any experience using DXV 3 in Watchout @Dataton Support - What are your thoughts / recommendations about DXV3 and Watchout ? No doubt, Hap still remains the Optimal codec of choice. Thanks Percy
bgillette
Hi Percival, I did a quick test of some 1080 DXV content with WATCHOUT 6.4 and have found limited functionality when QuickTime 7.7.9 was installed on the production PC. Since WATCHOUT does not directly support DXV, we cannot guarantee portability of DXV content from system to system, so what works on your systems may not work for others. Our recommendation at this time, would be to re-encode DXV content for a supported codec, such as HAP or h264 or another supported Watchout codec.
