makenithappen
I am running watchout 5.3 and having trouble with video playback. It is very choppy. A noticable pause every 3 seconds or so. This seems independent of codec or resolution. Are there any know issues with this? Jonas Dannert
No, there is not. Please supply a more complete description at support@dataton.com. - content/bitrate/codec/s - hardware/software setup /jonas
Thomas Leong
I've had it happen to me...but NOT on a Watchout system. Try to play the video with Windows Media Player and vlc outside of Watchout. Does it run, pause, run,pause...still occur? If yes, at a guess: - try re-coding the video(s) with a lower data rate - try a lower resolution video If no, it could be that some other codec has taken over the running of videos in Watchout. This can occur with a recent instalaltion of some other software. Step backwards and un-install any recent installations. At worst, re-install Windows, and thereafter, Watchout. Thomas Leong PS: Gary, I'll be back in KL on Dec 17, and if you want, I can come round to check out your problem then.
makenithappen
Sorry I went off line for the show on this. I ended up getting this to work by re-encoding to mpeg2 720p vs. h264 1080p. I had to test several codecs before landing on this one. Thanks for the replys.
