LiveMedia
Hi, We are using since recently the Decklink mini recorder from Blackmagic to capture SDI/HDMI camera feeds. Whenever we are showing the live feed in Watchout for a few minutes, the capture gradually becomes slower until it freezes completely. Once we update, everything works well again until the next time. This seems to be a memory related issue with the capture card, however, we are only encountering this in Watchout, not when we are using the Blackmagic capturing software. Does anybody have experiences with this kind of problem? Any suggestions how to resolve this? Cheers

That does not absolve BMD, their utility does not use the same driver that WATCHOUT uses. i.e. the issue exists in BMD's WDM driver. Ask BMD if they will fix the WDM driver and they will tell you WATCHOUT is not supported. WATCHOUT does not have these issue with other capture card vendors' WDM drivers, it is a BMD issue. And now you know why many users avoid the low cost BMD temptation and use solid performing solutions (albeit at much higher cost).
pencenk
whether capture card recommended by Watchout for HD SDI signal (input from the camera) but low cost? I've tried SDI Capture Card Aver media, but it did not work at all. Successful only from the datapath, but so expensive.
