greenfirstflash
Good afternoon. I apologize in advance for probably a stupid question, but 1) What is the best codec settings can be recommended for video playback vachout on the LED display resolution of 8448 * 1080 pixels. 2) What are the possible ways to improve the performance of "computer display" Currently this causes considerable difficulties. We have to share the source video into two parts at ~ 4k. In addition, playback of multiple layers of system dumps into a tailspin. I would be glad of any possible assistance. Thank you in advance.
zackboyd
I currently have one server playing back 8 4k clips simultaneously with no issue using h264. I typically like MPEG2, but I've been limited lately by size and haven't yet taught myself ffmpeg. PM Me and I'll send you the Adobe Media Encoder preset I use.
Moderator Morgan Wong Posted February 2, 2017 Moderator Report Share Posted February 2, 2017 1. I personally prefer mpeg2 codec (using ffmpeg) 2. tune the PC by following the tweaklist http://forum.dataton.com/topic/1886-watchout-technical-notes-2015/ and What is your PC hardware spec? and What codec are you using now? and Watchout version?
