EwanJackson
Hi Guys! We have upgraded from version 6.0.1 to 6.2.1 successfully on the Watchout controller computer. The display computers (Official Watchout Media Servers) aren’t updating correctly. The error we receive on the 3 display computers is: "The WATCHOUT license key can`t be found. Re-trying automatically in a few seconds." I’ve tried the suggestions here: http://forum.dataton.com/topic/2517-updateing-watchpax-license-key-cant-be-found/ The update progress bar shows on the controller computer, but ultimately fails. The displays connected to the 3 media servers flash up back to 6.0.1 and the controller machine shows the following errors. License Manager shows the displays connected and the correct license. The 3 media servers aren’t internet connected so this may be why they are failing. I'd connect them up but this would required changing firewall rules for the entire vLAN, which I can't do at this moment. Any help would be appreciated!
zackboyd
Try turning off windows firewall on your production machine. This had me running in circles(again) the other week. Wish I could say it was the first time I've made that mistake but it got me again....
Guest DavidA
Hi EwanJackson! You do not need to be connected to the Internet for update. When you write "Official Watchout Media Servers" are they WATCHPAX or WATCHMAX server built by Dataton? Trying the firewall on production machine as zackboyd writes can also be smart. Best regards, David
EwanJackson
Thanks for your help guys. I will give the firewall a go. I've also been advised by Dataton support that I may need to manually install the update on the 3 media servers with a KVM, which I can try also. The boxes are marked Watchmax yes
