basvantuijl
Hi there! I'm trying to find out some information on HDMI capture, but I can't seem to find the answer after trawling through the forum. I was hoping someone might be able to help me? Our company carried out an install at a site with 2 studios (both identical). Each studio has: 9 Projectors projecting onto 3 walls. 3 Watchout Display Servers (Each connecting to 3 projectors) 1 Watchout Production PC which manages both studios The client would like to plug a laptop (standard HDMI Input) into the system and have the feed displayed on each wall. Each server feeds 3 projectors, which covers one of the walls. My Question is, can i have a single HDMI capture card in server 1, and then have that image output from servers 1, 2 and 3 at the same time? Lag isn't a concern as it's pre-programmed video content (as long as all 3 images are in sync). If not, do I need to have a capture card in each server, and then split the HDMI signal between the 3? We're currently looking at using the Black Magic HDMI Capture card. hoping this is compatible: https://www.scan.co.uk/products/blackmagic-design-pci-express-intensity-pro-4k-hdmi-spdif-component-composite-s-video-ntsc-pal-hd-uh?gclid=Cj0KCQjwl7nYBRCwARIsAL7O7dHTmlURhaTtecEOytQS-VBmHKb2ffyrBxjfL_kNkMmnqCKdxCo1QxkaAsOQEALw_wcB Server Spec: Intel Xeon E3-1275 64GB DDR4 2133 RAM FirePro W7100 Graphics 2x 960GB Samsung Enterprise SSDs Windows 7 Pro Thanks in advance for any advice you can give! Another option could be to use a HDMI > NDI converter box and then use the NDI signal instead. This works with the current version of WATCHOUT. We actually stopped selling and using Blackmagic capture cards due to lack of support and unreliable drivers. Datapath would be a better option. If latency is not an issue, you could also use USB3 capture devices like the INOGENI 4K device. Best regards Rainer
DavidPatrick
We have also had good success with Magewell products. They sell dual and quad input HDMI cards. http://www.magewell.com/pro-capture-family
