Croonquist
Can I output 4x 4k outputs in windows 7 if running in 25or 30p. Firepro and M.2 hardware. Still limited to 3 outputs in 50/60, right? Regards Christian Croonquist
Guest DavidA
Hi! Yes, due to a limitation in the AMD drivers for Windows 7, you are limited to 3 x 4K outputs. With Windows 10 this is no longer the case. We have now announced the Windows 10 tweak guide: https://response.dataton.com/watchout-windows-10-tweaking-guide Best regards, David
Jonas Dannert
Hi David, Is that also true for the Radeon Pro WX-series of cards? And only a driver/OS issue, not a hardware issue of the FirePro cards? It seems from this table (link below) FirePro W-series can do maximum 3 x 4K (3840X2160) at 60 Hz, but the Radeon Pro WX-series, from WX 4100 up to the new WX 8200, can do (claims) 4 x 4K (3840X2160) at 60 Hz. https://www.amd.com/en/technologies/eyefinity-professionals, table a bit down on the page. Would be interesting to know if a FirePro W7100 would output 4 x 4K (3840X2160) at 60 Hz under Win10 but only 3 under Windows 7. Driver version seems to be the same. /jonas
Guest DavidA
Hi! It is a AMD driver limitation due to the fact that WATCHOUT use an older version of DirectX and AMD has said that they will not develop a fix for this. So for Windows 10 it is all good with 4x4K, while Windows 7 does not support more than 3x4K. Best regards, David
