Diego Marchente
A friend passes me a v7.1.1 project without contributions (I just need to see the preview) to verify the correct execution of some tasks. I'm not using a license and to my surprise I don't see anything and it won't let me upload any media... Also if I do a project without a license, I can only upload PNG and HAP, all other file types including WAV are disabled, why?... But wasn't it supposed to be the same workflow as v6? Thanks
Dataton Partner Popular Post Claudio Posted March 2 Dataton Partner Popular Post Report Share Posted March 2 Ciao Diego, media files are managed by the asset manager that needs the license to convert files accordingly to the asset optimizer settings. Only meda files that don't need to be otimized can be imported without the license present. If you like you can call me anytime for any further needs. Diego Marchente
Hi Claudio, Thank you for the answer, but it's not clear to me why if I take a project that I just need to check, it's not possible to view it even if there are no files to convert. This is not described in the manual. See you soon. Diego
Dataton Partner Popular Post Claudio Posted March 4 Dataton Partner Popular Post Report Share Posted March 4 Ciao Diego, a brief answer is that after you get the project file you have to add to your producer "Use Director" and "Use Asset Manager". That way you should see at least the draft of the project, with cues on timeline but not the real media file on stage, that can be seen by importing the assets previously exported by the Asset Manager. A presto, Claudio
