ryanh
Hi I am in the process of configuring a new operating system build for our Watchout Display machines. I am using Windows 7 64Bit. Everything has gone to plan, but I have come across the following error message when trying to install version 5.3 (same message for 5.2 also) - Can you help? "The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you are running. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need an x86(32-bit) or x64(64-bit) version of the program and then contact the software publisher"
ryanh
Problem solved! The installers were originally downloaded on a Mac, then transferred via memory stick to Watchout PC. I copied the link to the installer and downloaded again directly on the Watchout PC - works fine! So somewhere in the Mac download/transfer process the installer was corrupted!
Jonas Dannert
This is known and has been mentioned several times here in this forum. Nice that it works now! /jonas
Jonas Dannert
Just to clarify a bit: It is not a 32-/64-bit issue with the installer, it contains all necessary files for both 32-/64-bit installations. This is most likely due to a download done on MacOSX, which adds an ".exe" to the Windows Installer files ".msi", for some reason. To rectify, please download on a Windows PC or make sure the installers file end with ".msi" only, not ".msi.exe", before start of installation. /jonas
joshhiggason
You were correct! Thanks. Is there a place to download previous versions of Watchout (ver 5.1, 5.2, etc) if one were to need them? Luckily I had an old download of ver 5.2.
