We use these a lot. As recorders obviously, not for live capture display. It's a hardware encoder, only driving h264 into the USB port (with a selectable bandwidth up to 20mbit). Totally unusable for live situations, having approx 6 to 8 seconds delay. But superb in encoding h264, works like a charm. Just test properly, because wrong firmware results in strange sync drifts...

Hi Roman,
You're not deinterlacing your signal I presume? If so, don't, but choose a progressive setting of camera in stead. If that isn't the case, I wouldn't have a clue. 200ms does sound excessive.

You can only input 1280x720p50/59.94/60 OR 1920x1080p25/29.97/30
into a BMD 1,5G HDSDI or HDMI card (ie Intensity Pro)...
Analog or digital does not matter.
1920x1080p50/59.94/60 requires a 3G HDSDI card like Decklink Extreme or Datapath VisionSDI.
Or use a Datapath Vision E1s/E2s, as earlier mentioned.
This has been discussed here several times before...

Hmm, if so, one if the few easy solutions I know of is inserting an HDFury to make you're hdcp encrypted hdmi signal into a hdcp free VGA signal, but then you would need something like a Datapath Vision E1s/E2s as Jonas stated. Works like a charm. (Also propagated on the resolume forum I just noticed). You might think you could use a VGA adapter directly on your mbp but that doesn't suppose to work as the software will recognize it as a non-hdcp compliant solution.
Now, the HDFury3 and 4 also seem to output component signal, which would imply you could use it on the BMD, but can't vouch for that. (Wouldn't input a computer signal into a video capture card myself). But it's a cheap solution worth giving it a try, right?

Mike, Stan clearly states source is not a camera. He talks about movements in PowerPoint.
In addition to my previous post : try 1280x720 or any other native 16:9 data resolution of course (1366x768 for example, which is more widely supported by computers or seamless switchers.

In addition to Jonas' remark: not only analog video sources, but any interlaced video signal (could be 1080i50 sdi for instance). But for video, you then always have to much additional delay because of the de-interlacing process (to my experience) so preferably always choose 720p if 1080p cannot be achieved. (By vision mixer or capturecard).
But TS clearly doesn't refer to a video signal but a data signal / computer resulution which is never interlaced. (To my knowledge). If you experience screen tearing, it's more likely to be a bandwidth / performance issue. Can you try 1280x720 @ 60hz? Does this resolve the tearing?

Why would resolume send an hdcp encrypted signal anyway? Really doesn't make sense to me! Never had hdcp encryption on an apple digital output, unless perhaps you're playing back a DVD. Which you would probably capture before playback. Or am I mistaking here?

Ray, i'm sure you're not the cause of this subject, and no one is saying that only professionals should be allowed to post, but I suppose you're not a regular here? If you would be, then after the 10th time you read a topic answered with a reference to the basic manual (basically a RTFM response) or to the tweaklist / stable codec document... I'm sure you'd understand to some extend where Hugo is coming from. If I use a product I'm not experienced with (and I always do since I love learning new techniques) my first resource is the device itself (hands on / just DO it), next the manual, then search the internet and this would possibly lead me to a user forum. Which I would first SEARCH, in stead of posting a question immediately.
I know the meaning of the word forum but each forum has it's own purpose. Though I somewhat agree that at first it seems annoying that every post has to be approved (I found it strange at first) and you have a point in saying that approved forum members should be able to respond immediately, I've grown to appreciate this selective method and meanwhile, I even think it's not selective enough.
I challenge you, come back each week, read each post and tell me how you feel two years from now about the policy. Being just a tad more selective will still keep this forum alive and valuable to each reader, I'm sure.

Neil, I see where you are coming from, it's great to have a huge resource at hand... But many posts are either too basic, simple or even dumb (no insult intended) or so specific to a particular situation that it's an utter waist of time and attention to read, and like many of our "professional colleagues" I regularly visit the forum with the intend to learn or assist...
A very good example is the previous or next post about WO3.x... This is typically NOT for this forum!!! It should have been directed to WO sales, preferably a local dataton reseller / partner in the country of origin of the topic starter.
Another good example is a post of someone with an urgent problem, needing a solution for a show he/she was programming on and couldn't figure it out. First of all the problem was not generic and second of all, email or call dataton support, they always respond swiftly and know how to solve.
I urge the forum moderators to reconsider their policy, to keep this forum interesting for both professionals and newbies.
A solution for Neil's point could be = let Dataton support post the issue, after it has been resolved, if they consider it to be interesting enough to share... Or if they can't resolve it and/or need the users the step in...
I'm curious about the view of other regular visitors on this matter...

I have to agree with Hugo, I actually thought the exact same several times during the last weeks.
Neil, I really understand what you mean, but a lot of posts are either so simple / basic / dumb (excuse me in advance), or so specific to a private situation, that it's an utter waist of everyone's time and attention.
On the other hand your (Neil's) point is valid but perhaps the moderators can consider this issue in the future. Perhaps defining some more specific guidelines...

I use the akai mpk25. Lot's of rotary's and buttons. And room to make notes. Both pads, keyboard and rotary's have banks if it's not enough for your show, but you can always daisy chain multiple types of keyboards to increase the number of options as long as you can program the midi (start) address of them (otherwise you send the same notes from different keypads).

Show Sage compiles a WATCHOUT Production keyboard shortcut list (since v3).

Hello, I did upgrade to W5.3 last week.
Every thing goes well if I run the display computer and then start watchpoint manually.
However, when I autorun watchpoint at display computer startup, an error occured "licence key not found" .Not all the times, but sometimes.
It looks like watchpoint autorun goes faster than the display computer recognise the dongle ...
I had a look to the "windows tweaking list" found on this forum:
The only thing i did'nt at W5.3 installation was forcing dongle installation in every USB ports.
May this explain the problem ?

Try using a free app called StartupDelay. Works like a charm (you can set a delay for starting watchout giving the machine the time to load all necessary drivers.)

Hey guys, just wanted to share our latest project. Used two display pc's for 9 feeds (+ 1 for comfort screens). Just to be clear, we did NOT make the content ;-) (some mismatches in feeds, final version was delivered to me 30 minutes before showtime, 5 versions that day in total... Really hate it when that happens, also had 71 awards with separate names / category feeds for screens for the award part, also came in very late. Wanted to control the lighting cues via artnet and we got it working but didn't even had time to program that bit because we kept getting altered content... Oh well, final result was ok i guess...

A few ideas:
1 - being able to add a trigger for the main timeline. An aux timeline can do it but can't be timecoded.
2 - in geometry it would be nice to have keyboard shortcuts. And also to select mulitiple points !!!
3 - being able to pu
t a single computer online and not all of them all at once. So in show mode if have to go to a backup I can restart the main and put it oine when ready without having to online the whole fleat !
4 - copy and past movie proposerties. Loop / free run / blending modes.... Or select multiples and do it at once.
5 - Assign medias in the timeline to tiers and not only layers. Then the management can be easier.
6 - Choose a color for a media in the timeline can make it easy to manage heavy programming.

Doesn't work for me. I get no download link for the app except that which asks me to upgrade to Win8 - and I don't want to!!
Even went to Windows Store and searched for 'MIDI-Showcontroller" and result was "No results were found for: "midi-showcontroller".
Looks like the site 'sees' that I'm using Win7 and locks me out of things for Win8 except for the upgrade option.
Yes, as I said, you'd have to be on win8 to see win8 Apps, as it works on iPhone. You won't see iPad Apps if they're not compatible to your iPhone or not even iPhone 5 Apps if you're on iPhone 4s. Guess they feel you won't need it anyway if you can't run it on the machine your searching for it.

Thanks, just trying to do the same now for IPAD, but I'm not C-objective programmer, so it might take some time to develop for iOS too.
Can't wait!!! Checked your MC, but really hate Win8 and all aspects of it (feels like a really big and ugly low-end smartphone, but then again, I've really grown into apple products over the last few years. In fact, I only use windows if needed (i.e. WO). Using an external MidiController at the moment and loving the flexibility of it (AKAI MPK25) in combination with WO. (all those presets and layers at the touch of a button, can't believe I ever ran shows without...). But your controller on an IPAD... Perhaps not because it's the best option, but because it can... ;-) Imagine handing a custom designed interface to your client or speaker giving him full control over the aux'es and presets you decide on a slick device ;-)

Secondly : what's the nature of content? Really fine lines / tables with single pixel lines?

First guess would be using an aux timeline on top of the rest with a black square masking out the middle part (and of course using separate tiers for projection display and led display).

I can't think of a reason why you should run 3 cables. As long as you use unmanaged switches, you can daisy chain them as much as you want. I would recommend a proper 1Gbps configuration though. (At least for pushing the show to the displays). Once that's in place, running the show should present no problem, even on a 100Mbps line.

Have used animation for a long clip once. Two streams, 1920x1080, 14mins, approx 30GB per file (can't remember bitrate exactly but do the math). Client insisted on using this original file. Worked (on one machine) but was struggling. Converted it to 20Mbps h264 and used it. He never noticed the difference. In fact, he looked critically at the result and complimented Watchout.
In practice most (high end 3dlp) projectors turn out to be much more forgiving on banding as one would expect. (What might look not so good on your TFT works great on a 12 meter wide hdf w26.).
In the case mentioned it was displayed on 2 x 103" panasonic plasma's in a museum but even there, worked out great.
That said, as Jonas states : I'd just give it a go. You can always experiment with different bandwidths. What's stopping you? ;-)
