dchristo
I'm in the process of designing a show, and I'm curious about the performance impacts of using conditional layers. For example, if I have four videos, each on a conditional layer, and only one of those layers is enabled at any given time, what is the performance impact? Do the three disabled layers have any impact on disk bandwidth or CPU usage? In my case, I will enable the appropriate layer ahead of time, and not switch layers in the middle of a video. Thanks, --D

That is good. When a conditional layer is enabled, there is short period of time where there will be no response while it buffers the now active material. If you are switching ahead of time, this will not be an issue.
