Member mindopera Posted May 18, 2012 Member Report Share Posted May 18, 2012 Is it possible to have a looping auxiliary timeline and from the main timeline ask it to fade out not just stop. When I did this the loop would just pop of and was a little disconcerting. I wasn't able to find a command to ask the AL to fade, just stop or pause. Anyone have an answer to this? Thanks David
Member matkeane Posted May 21, 2012 Member Report Share Posted May 21, 2012 Hi, One way to do this is to make a looping composition and place it, with Free Run and Looping selected, in an auxiliary timeline. Now you can add an opacity fade in/out to the media cue in the auxiliary timeline, and add a Pause cue with the opacity at 100%. When you start the auxiliary timeline, your loop will fade on and then pause, while looping, at 100% opacity. When you want to fade out, hit play on the auxiliary timeline.

Member mindopera Posted May 22, 2012 Author Member Report Share Posted May 22, 2012 It wasn't exactly what I was looking for because my challenge was more complex, but it did work. Thanks for the help.
