youngman
hello. It's called YOUNGMAN. I have a few questions. I am using an LED WALL and it is in a 4X2 configuration. We use 2 WATCHOUT DISPLAYs to output 4 items per server. The graphics card uses NVIDIA Quadro A4000 and outputs 4 at a time. The sync card was installed and the LED EDID was copied properly. However, the area between servers on the LED wall is out of sync. Also, sometimes the output of one server is out of sync. We tried different LED configurations and the same symptoms occurred. In this case, how should I configure WATCHOUT? And select Use as Synchronization Chain Master in the display options. Even though I checked one display, the screen trembles strangely and does not sync. What's the reason? And do I really need to use this option? I'll wait for your reply. thank you.

WATCHOUT provides software frame synchronization. While it is frame accurate, there will be variations server to server within the boundaries of a frame. That may be what you are observing. Software synch is sufficient for overlapped projection and multiple flat panels with mullions. What you likely need is scan accurate synchronization between servers. To accomplish that, you need hardware assisted synchronization. To add hardware assisted synchronization to your two servers, you would need to add a nVidia Quadro Synch card in each computer. You must also use an nVidia gpu compatible with the Quadro Synch card. A dedicated cable runs between those cards to provide scan accurate synch. When you set those synch cards up, one is designated as the master, the other the client. I did not see your gpu in the compatibility list, but possibly the list I saw was out of date. Check with your hardware provider. The WATCHOUT setting “Use as Synchronization Chain Master” should be set only on the server where the Quadro Synch card is set to master. This setting has no meaning when not using hardware assisted synchronization.
Dataton Partner RBeddig Posted October 25, 2023 Dataton Partner Report Share Posted October 25, 2023 If you use only one server, are the four outputs of this server in sync? Which LED and controller do you use?
yeeun
We have the same issue. I'm using a NVIDIA Quadro sync card, and I tested the graphics card with the RTX A6000 and RTX A4500. It is the same setting as the user above, and each has a tear on a different Display PC. The watchout production display setting is used as follows.
