  1. Please could someone help with this extremely urgent issue I have with WO 7. My Blackmagic and Datapath Input cards are not seen as a device.... Please help... I have a production this week and need my input cards to work.
  2. Hi I am hoping someone can help me. We have tried almost everything we can think off to get Live Video up and running. We have three WO computers receiving an SDI input (we are using a DVD from a blue ray payer for now for testing purpose) We have DeckLink 4K Extreme Cards in all 3 computers. The cards and driver can be seen from the Windows device manager. Our WO version is 5.5.2 and the driver version 10.1.0.0 It used to work long time ago but stopped some time back. We have multiple display connected to the two display computers. I've checked the device input settings and DeckLink Video Capture is selected. (There is only one device to select in any case) Inside our WO production PC our live video media is set to Device 1. The part I don't know is refresh rates, input formats output formats and so on. Do I need to change these settings? I have no idea what these settings should be. We have a DVD signal incoming via the SDI input. What settings should I have to just see something on the screens? Knowing that it's a settings thing will give me comfort knowing our hardware has not failed, or something along those lines. BTW WO is working properly with media played directly from the production computer on all our displays. We need Live Video to work. Please help! - Ryan D
  3. I have PC ( Asus X99 E WS motherboard) with a Blackmagic Quad hdmi capture card.and Decklink 4k SDI recorder. In blackmagic Media express it shows all the inputs but in watchout 6.6.1, live input it does not show up. Can anybody help me with this problem.
  4. Recently upgraded a Win 7 display machine from Watchout 5.5.1 to 6.2.2. Everything seems to work except Live Video In. Using BMD mini recorder I could get a picture from SDI input or HDMI input on 5.5.1 but not 6.2.2. This was using various different SDI formats including 1080P at 23.98 fps. BMD software sees the input OK. I get an error message in Watchout saying "video in 1 set to none" I tried setting video input to 2, 3 same message "video in 2 set to none" "video in 3 set to none" It seems to be some kind of driver issue but updating the BMD drivers did not help
  5. I wanted to share with the group that I am sending HDMI video signals from my WO Servers as SDI signals to a switcher or router as on onsite operator. I know many of you may have done this already and I'm hoping you will share what kind of issues you've run into or maybe better ways to accomplish this, but it's been such a game changer for me I felt like it was worth sharing and discussing. I'm now converting the HDMI video signals from the WO server to SDI and sending the SDI signal to the switcher or router. I have been using BMD micro HDMI to SDI converters (www.blackmagicdesign.com) and sending one side of the SDI to the switcher and the other side to a Decimator Multi-viewer, DMON-16SL (www.decimator.com). I'm in Amsterdam now running 8 channels (see diagram and photos below) of video, 4 main and 4 backup using only one monitor for viewing the signals. I also have a Program and OpMon feed on the The key for me is using AMD W7100 or higher video cards. I have been testing this scenario over the last 3 months with very great success. Here are the benefits as I see it. Shorter set up time. No EDID issues when using the W7100 video card Fewer monitors (I'm to one monitor in Amsterdam) Fewer cables Fewer power strips BMD micro converters use USB power, so only one or two multi USB chargers take the place of multiple wall wart. (see photo below) I bring my own well maintained cables for my system. Can easily put most setups in my suitcase (minus servers) for travel. Relying more on equipment I bring and maintain. Most equipment (multi-viewer, cables and converters) are inexpensive, so it is now part of my onsite kit and not rented. Fewer connections means less issues and less time troubleshooting. I know this doesn't fit every scenario and I will continue testing and learning, but I believe that this is how I will setup in the future, because it's a game changer for on onsite corporate work and lets me concentrate on content not technical challenges.
