  1. Hi Francisco, Not 100% sure, but I think that when you go live on WO - it will try to output 1920x1080 at 60hz, even if you set the display card outputs to 30hz. I assume you have a video processor between WO and the LED wall. I would set the output from the display card to 1920x1080P 60hz, and try to change the output resolution from your video processor to be 1920x1080 30hz. I encountered this problem about a year ago, so I am not 100% sure about my suggestion.
  2. Hi All, I heard recently that people successfully use Mac Mini as a display machine using Bootcamp. I would love to know if this is possible. - What are the ups and downs? - What are the recommended specs for the mac mini? - How many outputs you can get from each mac (i know that it has 1 hdmi, 1 MDP, but heard you can extend the MDP to 3 outputs). - Can you use a capture card using a USB 3 port? Thanks you so much,
  3. We had to convert the signal from WO through a Panasonic switcher and than output it back to black magic. In the process we tried to use 4 different video processors to convert the signal (including analog way, Kramer, and more), without luck. When we run it through a Panasonic video switcher, it worked right away. We have reason to assume that blackmagic "like" to work with "clean" broadcast signals.
  4. Hi, From my experience, Black magic capture cards are picky when working with Watchout. In some instances I had to change the color output to 4:4:4 or 4:2:2 rather than many devices default RGB. I must mention that it happened when I tried to capture live input from a PC (with Mac it works flawlessly) and not from a camera. Additionally, sometimes there is a discrepancy between the actual video signal sent, to the video format you need to choose on the live input window on WO (for example, input 1080i59.94, and choose on WO 1080i29.94, I will try them all). It seems to me like black magic and Watchout doesn't like each other - in another instance I tried to send signal from Watchout to a black magic switcher - and had to run it through a Panasonic video switcher To make it work (it didn't work no matter what video format And setting were used - it only worked when I sent it through a Panasonic live video switcher). Black magic usually works flawlessly with professional broadcasting device and with Macs, but no as great with PCs and consumer grade cameras. I hope it helps,
  5. Hi All, We are looking to get in touch with Watchout operators in NYC metro. We were also thinking it can be beneficial for the community that Dataton will create a list of certified operators. It is always very difficult to find available operators during busy seasons. Please PM me if you can refer an operator. Thank you so much,
  6. Hi, The HD version of the ATEM switcher is very limiting. Though their 4k switcher can also take progressive signals, and it is way more flexible than their 1st generation. The price difference is not so bad: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/964109-REG/blackmagic_design_atemprodstud_4k_atem_production_studio_4k.html Good luck.
  7. Hi, Thanks guys, We will need 17-25 push buttons. I am not familiar with Watchnet yet, but it looks like a great solution. Will appreciate an answer about the wireless buttons as well.
  8. Hi All, I am working on a project with a corporate that wants the following: They will host a conference in a large room, in which the presenter (speaker) will not have eye-contact with all the tables. They want to have a wireless push button in each table, that when the table wants to ask a question, a monitor will indicate where the question came from. So ideally, the result will be: Table number 5 press the button, and the display shows "question from table #5". When a new table is pushing the button, it will override the previous screen and show "question from 'New Table #'". What I was thinking is to use a midi push buttons in each table, and program a cued slide that will be activated through MIDI control cue. Questions: 1. Is my plan is doable? is there a better way to achieve the desired outcome? 2. Does anyone know what is the best MIDI signal receiver to use with Watchout? 3. Does anyone know a single button wireless midi controller? 4. Is there an Appstore/ Android app that can send MIDI signals to the MIDI receiver? Thank you so much,
  9. Hi guys, I thought it can be beneficial to let you know that Panasonic released a new firmware upgrade for few models include the PT-DZ21K. It improves geometry features significantly (Please contact me to get the firmware upgrade files, because they haven't been released officially yet). Also, the Geometry Pro software makes it very easy to make geometry corrections, key-stoning, mapping, rotation, etc... It can be found here: https://eww.pass.panasonic.co.jp/p2ui/ShowWebContents.do?key=U522, just register and download geometry pro. Userneme: admin1 Password: panasonic1 . Cheers,
  10. Hi, I was wondering if it's possible to integrate lighting DMX controller such as myDMX 2.0 into watchout (it has a usb connection). We always used 2 separate machines to control the video and the lighting. Can someone explain the basics of DMX control with watchout (beyond what is written in the manual)? Is it effective and efficient to do it through watchout, or the feature is not ready for complicated commands yet? Thank you,
  11. A test patterns bank, including patterns to align displays and color matching.
  12. Hi All, I couldn't find any information about thoss on the manual: 1. I was wondering if it's possible to loop videos on the display computer without using the production computer? 2. If not, maybe just to send the project to the display computer and than disconnect the production computer - will the looped videos keep running? 3. Are there any built-in files/ patterns for aligning projectors together on multi-projection setup? 4. If I want to map a distorted surface (a sphere or a building for example) and I change the display geometry - does it also distort the shape of the video? if so, what is the best way of mapping a distorted surface - is it more important that the video will be edited in the shape of the surface or adjusting the geometry or both? 5. What is the importance of having the same lamp hours on the projectors when creating a widescreen production? Thank you so much
  13. We intend to use it with 4 displays.
  14. Hi, Does this CPU will be able to play 4 HD Videos? Intel Core i7-3820 Quad-Core 3.6 GHz LGA 2011 We have 16gb Ram ddr3 1333mhz, Geforce GX670, Thank you,
