tirymarq
I am using 4 WO 5.2 computers to make a cube. One of sides is 4 projectors with syncro video making a 2x2 screen. It has happened 3 times that during the show suddenly it appears the WO logo in the 1st screen, about 10 seconds later it appears in the 4 screens and about 20 seconds later goes back to the show syncronized and working ok. Normally show is running 13-15 hours a day properly. Any idea? Thanks!
Jonas Dannert
Looking like you are loosing one output intermittently. Then WATCHOUT tries to reset itself and apparantly succeds. How are your Displays connected? Single- or Multi-output? Any hardware EDID Managers used on all outputs? /jonas
tirymarq
It is 1 WO with 4 outputs. Connected with DVI through fiber optic extenders Gefen. Also I have 3 more WO with 4, 4 and 3 outputs connected, but it only happends in this I have told you about. All are syncronized. No hardware EDID Managers used. Thanks
Jonas Dannert
What are the difference between the Displays that works (4+4+3) and this one that is not? Hardware? Distribution? Different content? /jonas
tirymarq
I have: 1 WO with 4 outputs with 1024x768. This is not working. 1 WO with 4 outputs with 1024x768. This is working. 1 WO with 4 outputs with different resolution outputs (up to 1920x1080). This is working. 1 WO with 3 outputs with different resolution outputs (up to 1920x1080). This is working. All WO are connected to the same switch, closed network, with fixed IP address. All outputs connected with FO extenders Gefen DVI 1500HD. All contents .mov, but different resolutions, never more than 1920x1080. All WO are the same computer model
Jonas Dannert
So, you have two identical 1024x768 setups, one works, the other isn't. This is where I would look, what is the difference between them? Fiber DVI distribution is not trouble-free, please see the forum for more on the subject. http://dataton.com/forum/topic/372-hdmi-to-fiber-optic-extender/page__hl__fiber__fromsearch__1 1 WO with 4 outputs with different resolution outputs (up to 1920x1080). This is working. 1 WO with 3 outputs with different resolution outputs (up to 1920x1080). This is working. How do you get this to work? Multi-output needs same resolution/refresh rate from all outputs. Are the graphic card setup as separate Displays/extended desktop (required) or as an Eyefinity group (should not be used)? All contents .mov, but different resolutions, never more than 1920x1080. Which codec, at which frame-rate and bit-rate? All WO are the same computer model Meaning what exactly? Tweaked according to our guidelines or not? /jonas

Dataton Partner Walter Posted June 19, 2012 Dataton Partner Report Share Posted June 19, 2012 May I suggest a simple test : change your display addresses, in order to switch the working pc (1) with the not-working pc (2). If the problem still occurs on the same pc (2) with different media / config running on it, it's almost certain caused by your hardware. If the problem moved to pc (1), then it's more likely to be a bug in the WO show. Just make sure you clear all caches and shows from the pc's after switching addresses.
