SJC Posted April 17, 2013 Report Share Posted April 17, 2013 Hello All, Having issues playing mp4's after doing a fresh windows 7 (64bit) / Quicktime / Watchout install on new computers. any ideas why??? We also have black magic deck link cards installed, could this be an issue??? Have a show in a couple of days, need help ASAP if anyone can assist. Many Thanks in advance. Cheers. SJC Posted July 5, 2013 Author Report Share Posted July 5, 2013 I also am having the same problem and can't figure out why!! .....They play in both windows media player and quicktime on both production machines and display machines, but will not play through Watchout. Mike Fahl Posted July 6, 2013 Report Share Posted July 6, 2013 What's in your MP4 files? Presumably H.264 video. If so, those should work fine. If they don't, please send a sample file to support@dataton.se, and we'll take a look. Note that WATCHOUT no longer depends on QuickTime to play such files, as it has native support for H.264 in MPEG-4 as well as MOV file containers.
