Jonas Dannert
hi, i want to use the watchout for 4 displays with one computer. what are the recomended display cards ? http://forum.dataton.com/topic/699-recommended-display-cards-updated/?do=findComment&comment=2536 http://forum.dataton.com/topic/734-watchout-5-technical-notes/ is the amd firepro w600 is good for this ? No. Because the W600 lack the sufficient DirectX/Direct3D hardware acceleration for WATCHOUT-use, as far as we know. Same thing with AMD FireMV, NVidia NVS series and Matrox M91xx-series, as mentioned earlier http://forum.dataton.com/topic/927-how-to-build-a-10-projectors-in-2-display-computers-and-1-production-computer/page-2?do=findComment&comment=3651 /jonas

Vollmers
What about this card: ASUS RADEON HD7990 6GB PCI-E DVI/DP? I'm setting up a 3 projector system, with edgeblending, and would like it to be part of a bigger Sport studio setup. And will that card be able to work with the recommended sync card? Jonas Dannert
Thomas,He does state success with the card as such, but not necessarily with WATCHOUT, as far as I can see. Maybe Sedat can clarify? That said, we are testing it now.My point is that there must be a valid reason for the difference in price and performance, to the W7000.We'll be back on the subject./jonas
Jonas Dannert
What about this card: ASUS RADEON HD7990 6GB PCI-E DVI/DP? Quite capable for WATCHOUT use, on its own. I'm setting up a 3 projector system, with edgeblending, and would like it to be part of a bigger Sport studio setup. And will that card be able to work with the recommended sync card? No, the Radeon series will not. For that one needs an AMD FirePro series card, W7/8/9000 models + S400 or a NVidia Quadro K5000 + Quadro Sync Setup advice in this thread (AMD): http://forum.dataton.com/topic/849-any-advice-for-setting-up-firepro-with-s400-sync-card/ /jonas
