rafaelfittipaldi
Hey there, we are using WO6 and we are experience some quality loss, the image looks blurry. I have a Barco F35 series projector on the ceiling projecting on the floor. When I send the signal directly to the projector using the HDMI cable (NO watchout), the projection looks sharp and crispy. Texts looks great. When I get the signal from watchout the same image looks blurry. I have a live video (capture card) of 1920x1200 and I already turned off DEINTERLACE on the source. Is there anything I need to do to get a better quality, like anti-alias settings, anything? I've been playing with all the settings and couldnt get any good results. I'm testing it with the source at 100% scale an no geometry changes on the projection so it should be perfect right? Thanks guys!
Neil Stratton
First thing you need to establish is can you see a clear image using the capture card but not using Watchout? Using Datapath and Blackmagic cards this is my first port of call when fault finding. What card are you using for capture?
rafaelfittipaldi
Hey Neil thanks for answering. Im using a Datapath e2s capture card, the image is clear using the datapath, it only looks blurry after going through watchout. Do you have any idea of what's causing it, ot the best set of tests I could do to try to figure it out? best,

It defaults to a low resolution when there is no signal to analyze, and for some reason it does not switch to the new resolution when the signal is applied.
Fredrik Svahnberg
Jim is correct but I do believe this has been fixed by Datapath. It was adressed at a Dataton-Datapath about two years ago. Not sure which driver/firmware version is required and what hardware it applies to though. Dataton, please chime in...

Mike Fahl
I have seen this occur when you start up the display computer with no signal present on the DataPath card. It defaults to a low resolution when there is no signal to analyze, and for some reason it does not switch to the new resolution when the signal is applied. I believe that problem was fixed in WO6 (6.0 as far as I can recall). WATCHOUT should now use the resolution as specified in the Live Video media item, rather than relying on the source feed having the proper resolution (which it may not have if the feed isn't there from the outset). So you may want to double-check that the "Dimensions" set matches your feed, as described under "Live Video Settings" here: http://academy.dataton.com/wo6/Menus.xhtml#Anchor Mike
