PierreLucB
Hi guys, Where does Watchout get its video output number for the display computer? Are they suppose to match with the Nvidia graphics card output number for instance? What is the correlation? I'm trying to figure out the order. Thanks.
Moderator Josef Swanberg Posted May 17, 2018 Moderator Report Share Posted May 17, 2018 Watchout gets the output numbers from the graphics API. There isn't necessary any correlation to the output numbers shown in Windows, or in the graphics card control panel.
Brecht
I had the same problem, but what I did was connecting the first screen before starting up the server, and then connect the other screens with a little pauze between every connection. That way the numbers in WO match with the ones in windows or graphics API. As long as you don't disconnect them these numbers stay the same, even when rebooting.
Member Steve Farris Posted May 17, 2018 Member Report Share Posted May 17, 2018 In the windows display control panel, you can say "identify all" and windows will put a number on each screen. Those are the numbers Watchout will use.
PierreLucB
Thanks Brecht, I might give this a try. Steve, with my setup using Nvidia Quadros (K5000 I believe) the numbers in the windows panel are the same as the numbers in the Nvidia panel but they do not match the ones from Watchout.
