remote play Start timeline production PC wireless

As the title reads: I have a project on the production laptop that needs to be started remotely and wirelessly. It should be a remote that can be carried around, something like an iPad but not bigger. Basically it only comes down to the space bar being triggered, that's all. Has anyone already done this or any ideas for this?

Any "PC remote control" that can fire of arbitrary keypresses should do (or combined with some software that can map keys as desired). You may prefer to send the numpad Enter key instead, since that will always start playback of the timeline, while the spacebar is a start/stop toggle (unless that's what you desire).

It's actually the numpad "0" key starting the timeline.

You could also take a look at the free version of Universe Control. It should be able to generate a control page as a web page and can control up to three devices. Universe has a very good driver for WATCHOUT.

You can control remotely via VNC with any device you find convenient, even over WiFi.
