Network error; Command getMACAddr; MAC address not found
Just another thought, could it have something do with Power Down/Power Up?
Is this used in the TV studio by any chance?
Power DownTurns off the power of selected or all display computers. This quits WATCHOUT display software, terminates Windows and turns off the computer. As part of this procedure, the WATCHOUT productionsoftware also learns the hardware address of the display computers, which can then be used bythe Power Up command.Power UpSends a “Wake on LAN” command via the network to selected or all display computers. If properlyconfigured, this will power up the computer(s) as if their power switch had just been pressed. Put ashortcut to the WATCHOUT display softwareinto the Startup folder of the display computer to make itlaunch WATCHOUT automatically.IMPORTANT: There are two prerequisites for this command to work:• The computer must be configured to “Wake on LAN” (sometimes referred to as “Magic Packet”).This setting may be found under the “Power Management” tab of the Local Area Network Connection’sProperties dialog box, or in the computer’s BIOS settings.• The production computer must at some point have given the Power Down commandJust my 2cents.../jonas0 -
I see you mention a Mikrotik router/switch in the system. http://www.mikrotik.com/
How is this unit configured? These boxes are usually highly configurable managed router/switches,so if not configured properly, this might account for their network issues.
Maybe try with some simple, unmanaged unit?
Seems to be an issue with space on the SSD, too, as you mention, but that is probably unrelated.

The Sony FHZ60 does not have a color wheel, it's a 3LCD system with a laser phosphor light source.
http://www.sony.co.uk/pro/product/projectors-installation/vpl-fhz60/overview/
The fact that it's not a DLP-based system, and less seen/tested than such a system, makes it even more important to adjust gamma/color/brightness/contrast at setup.
I agree that is is more of a projector setup issue than a WATCHOUT setup issue.

"The soon-to-be-shipping C900 has comfortable 3D acceleration - including DirectX acceleration -
comparable to the "business graphics" ranges in the nVidia (NVS) and
AMD (FirePro W6xx and 2xxx series) product lines"
I would say that what I wrote in Sep 2011 still applies for WO6, unfortunately:
http://forum.dataton.com/topic/93-wo5-multi-output/
"NVidia NVS series will not do, they lack sufficient DirectX/Direct3D hardware acceleration for WATCHOUT-use.
Same thing with AMD FireMV and Matrox M91xx-series"
Business level graphics might be OK for straight-forward video playback, has been done with
AMD FirePro W600, mentioned in the Forum.
BUT, as soon as any of WATCHOUT's DirectX/Direct3D based functions/tween tracks are to be used
in any significant way, they will fall short, very fast.
This means that one will build in a limitation in such a system, if based on these types of graphics solutions.
Hence the warning above.
Just my 2 cents...

I would attribute this to a HDCP issue, ie NO capture card will allow you to capture a HDCP-protected source,
be it a PS-4, X-Box or BluRay-player. This for copyright legal reasons.

I think one still needs ACTIVE DP/MDP-adapters for all concurrent DVI/HDMI/VGA-outputs (legacy) over two ie I would always use ACTIVE adapters.
At least for all current graphics cards. Have not heard of any technical changes in this area. But of course I might be misinformed...

What kind of SWF files are we talking about?
If it's full frame rate movies, it will be hard to make it work through DIS, it's not designed for that use case.

Hi Mike,
It was from Moderna Museet 13 Dec-99, I shot that one with a DV-camera. I believe Fredrik S has it in better quality, too.

So for OS can i use normal 850 PRO series?
Yes.
If I am using 512 GB NVMe-based M2-SSD, can i use it for both OS and Media drive?
No, I wouldn't do/recommend that.
This is for MEDIA drive use, and where WATCHOUT is to be installed, normally.

Hi Jithu,
Re: "Graphics card"
It's a bit of an apples vs pears comparisation, as I see it.
- AMD FirePro W8100 is a professional graphics card
- NVidia Titan X is a consumer gaming card
If budget allows, the W8100 is the better choice in my view.
Re: "Disk Drive media"
I would look into the new NVMe-based M2-SSD's (Gen3/PCIe x4) like the Samsung 950 PRO
http://www.anandtech.com/show/9702/samsung-950-pro-ssd-review-256gb-512gb
On your selected MB (Asus X99E-WS/usb3.1), there is a slot for it.
It's seriously fast, sequential read up to 2,500MB/s (512 GB), and not very expensive either.
Also avoiding the hassle of dealing with RAID 0 setup...

Thanks Mike for some fun holiday reading!

I think you need to supply a bit more info for the community to be able to help you.
Such as version of WATCHOUT, Operating system, driver version and the general hardware setup.

I would suspect loss of connection to your Display devices, ie EDID-issues, causing the screen re-configuration seen.
- How are they connected?
- Cat5/6-extenders or fiber-extenders?
- Are any EDID Managers used?
(For example DVI Parrot's: http://www.tmb.com/products/15-dvi-parrot )

What is between the actual camera feed in the signal chain from the camera team and the Decklink SDI input?
What is the difference in setup from before, when as you say the delay was minimal?

Jim,
I understand the card model is new, slated for Q4 (Q1-16 more likely) delivery, but the original question related to that card, not the older one, hence my comment. If the case has to be resolved now, 2 current cards has to be used, of course. ;-)
It seems to be a bit different than earlier cards, in that a SDK has to be used to set all 8 inputs to active. So it remains to be seen how useful it will be...

Eh...one Decklink Quad 2 will give you 8 x 1080p60 3G-SDI capture inputs from one PCIe x8 slot, right?
Or does it have to be enabled specifically?
"DeckLink Quad 2 features 8 independent SDI capture and playback channels in a single card!
Fully compatible with the previous 4 channel model, this new model also allows 4 independent capture and playback channels but now also includes 4 extra channels
that developers can use for configuring the card in any combination of up to 8 capture or 8 playback channels.
This means DeckLink Quad 2 allows each of the 8 3G-SDI BNC connectors to switch direction between capture or playback in SD and HD up to 1080p60 and as a complete independent channel"
8 x bidirectional 12-bit SD/HD independantly configurable as either Input or Output

Actually it's $695 list price from Turning Technologies...
On a sidenote, it's apparently possible to re-program the buttons on MasterCue/MicroCue too,
if one prefer those products instead. Not so cheap, from $518 / £330 and up, but also good and reliable.
"To reprogram MicroCue2 , firstly ensure it is plugged into a computer using the USB cable supplied.
Check the keyboard can control the computer by using keys as normal.
Note that only the standard alpha-numeric keys will operate.
The CTRL and FN keys will not operate whilst connected to MicroCue2 in this way."

Seems like the PresenterCard requires some expensive extras for it to work...
System Requirements
The following requirements are necessary for PresenterCard to properly function:
One of the following receivers:
- RRRF-02 receiver - 4.6 firmware or higher
- RRRF-03 receiver - 2.7 firmware or higher
- RRRF-04 receiver - 2.7 firmware or higher

Re: Q1: "One was about "delete places" in indexing option."
A: Sorry, can't understand you on this. Please explain again. There is no 'delete places' in Windows.
There is actually a place in "Control Panel/Indexing Options/Click the Modify button/Indexed Locations"
Here one can un-check selected locations to index, also.
Re: Q2: "...another thing I wasn't sure about was page file size. It requires to double the RAM..."
I totally agree with Thomas here, the Tweaklist are a bit dated in this regard... ;-)
