Watchnet

To clarify, you need to make a WOB only if you're gping to use WATCHNET to distribute the show to clusters on show-site without the production computer. As an alternative, you may of course bring the production computer on site and download the show directly to the cluster using the production software, as usual. The end result in the cluster will be the same.

When using the Watchnet, you have to consolidate your watchout project and wrap it as a zip/wob file to load it in to watchnet.

You do not 'have to'.

More like an alternate option for uploading a show to a cluster.

If you never make a .wob file, WATCHNET will still work the same,

as noted above, you will just use watchmaker to upload shows and changes.

so more like ...

When using the Watchnet, you have to consolidate your watchout project and wrap it as a zip/wob file

if you wish to use watchnet to upload it to displays. instead of the production computer -- either / or.

If I make a correction on the watchout-file, or a media-file, will I then have to do all this again?

Short answer is yes, at least for now.

But, I thought I heard that when the next release of watchmaker

adds an export .wob file function,

some kind of incremental .wob file for updates will be made available

to eliminate having to move the entire project for small changes.

Either I misunderstand that,

or more likely the Linköping crew are mum about unreleased function  ;)

We expect to release WATCHNET shortly (soon after Infocomm, which is next week). If you want to learn more about this new product right away, check out our documentation page here:

   http://academy.dataton.com/watchnet

The tutorial section contains a number of intro videos that walks you through the program.

Enjoy!

HELP!!

We have a project where we used 30 watchpax with projectors.

All is connected with a watchout server.

There are 4 shows that we show in a week.

Example; show 1 is on Monday,Tuesday and Thursday. The show start at 10 am and stops at 5.30 pm

On Wednesday we have 2 shows; The first show start at 10 am and stops on 3.30 pm, in the same show  the second show start at 3.40 pm and stops at 5.00 pm

On Friday, Saturday and Sunday we have 2 shows. The first show start at 10 am and stops at 5.30 pm, In the same show the second show start at 5.40 pm and stops at 6.00 pm

Now we starts the shows manual.

I am looking for someone who can program the shows in Watchnet.

Is there someone who can help us with Watchnet? If possible someone from The Netherlands

Kind regards,

Roger Ronda
